About Josefina Perez-Castro, LCSW
Josefina Perez-Castro has been an integral part of the South Florida community since graduating from Barry University in 1981. With extensive training in individual, marriage, family, and group therapy, she began her clinical career with the Dade County Department of Youth and Family Development and later served as Clinical Supervisor for Family and Victim Services. In 1985, she founded her private practice, establishing Anaga Psychotherapy Center in 1997, where she oversees administration and therapy programs focused on domestic violence, trauma, and substance abuse.Josefina provides therapy for children and adults, addressing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and human rights violations. She also conducts forensic assessments and cultural consultations for Hispanic families. A speaker at international conferences, she supervises interns and believes in empowering clients to help themselves. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, herbal gardening, traveling, and films.
