After graduating from Temple University, he practiced in the Philadelphia area before moving to Northern Virginia with my family. Dr. Tavakkoli has been practicing at our present location since 2004.
He is a preferred Lumineers provider, a member of the Sleep Apnea Society, and a Preferred Invisalign® Provider. He has worked with Invisalign since 2000, when it first became available to the public. He has been recognized by Northern Virginia Magazine and Virginia Living Magazine as a Top Dentist and by The Consumers’ Research Council as one of America’s Top Dentists.

Dr. Yutaka Okamoto is a skilled and compassionate general dentist with over 20 years of experience delivering comprehensive, patient-focused dental care. He was the founder and owner of SmileWell in North Bethesda, Maryland, where he provided a wide range of services including Invisalign, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, implant restorations, and full-mouth rehabilitation. During his time at SmileWell, Dr. Okamoto was consistently recognized for clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. His accolades include Washingtonian Top Dentist (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025), Bethesda’s Best Dentist (2020, 2022, 2024), and a place on the Washingtonian Wall of Fame. Dr. Okamoto continues to advance the profession through education. He has been serving as a clinical instructor as a Dean’s Faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, mentoring, teaching and educating dental students. Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Dr. Zadeh earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park before completing her dental training at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
With a strong focus on comprehensive, reliable, and compassionate dentistry, Dr. Zadeh takes pride in delivering excellent work while ensuring patients feel informed and comfortable. Dr. Amaya earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of El Salvador in 2004.
He worked in private practice early in his career for about 6 years. Dr. Amaya relocated to the Washington, DC area. He continued his education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Amaya is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. He has been working in the Washington, DC area since 2019.
Dr. Amaya enjoys practicing dentistry; he has helped a diverse population. with procedures that include restorative work such as crowns, fillings, bridges, as well as complete and partial dentures, root canals, and extractions. He is passionate about dentistry in general. He periodically takes continuing education courses. To be up to date with materials and techniques that help him deliver the best dental experience possible to his patients.

Dr. Abasin Safi began his academic career at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He subsequently obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine.
After several years of practicing general dentistry, Dr. Safi pursued advanced training in endodontics at Oregon Health & Science University. There, he completed a comprehensive residency program known for its strong surgical curriculum and evidence-based clinical approach.
Dr. Safi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.

He is a Georgia native who completed his undergraduate studies at Young Harris College before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. His passion for dentistry was inspired early on by his uncle, the first dentist in his family. Now the sixth dentist in his family, Dr. Eden continues that legacy, focusing on providing exceptional care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Erica Ribenboim, DMD, is an Associate Dentist at Nova Dental Partners in Fairfax, Alexandria, and Woodbridge, Virginia.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Ribenboim attended Centre College for her undergraduate degree before receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. With a strong passion for lifelong learning, she regularly attends continuing education seminars and has focused her attention on areas including Invisalign, cosmetic treatments like veneers and smile makeovers, and root canal therapy. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and has volunteered with Remote Area Medical Clinics, providing free dental care to those in need.
Dr. Ribenboim provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. He is a dedicated professional and regularly pursues continuing education. He is currently working on his postgraduate degree in aesthetic dentistry from the University of Minnesota.

Sumeen Maur, DMD, is a skilled general and cosmetic dentist practicing at Nova Dental Partners in Fairfax, Alexandria, and Woodbridge, Virginia.
Dr. Maur grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where she attended Furman University, obtaining her undergraduate degree in economics. During her time there, Dr. Maur was introduced to the field of dentistry while volunteering at a free dental clinic. She then chose to shadow local dentists in order to discover more about the basics of dentistry and the importance of the patient-doctor relationship.
Dr. Maur’s interest in dentistry led her to enroll at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. After completing her studies, Dr. Maur attended the University of Florida in St. Petersburg for further training and earned certification for Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
Dr. Maur provides gentle yet effective dentistry services to patients at Nova Dental Partners. As a member of the highly skilled team of providers, Dr. Maur is committed to helping each patient achieve their optimal oral health.

Leah Coutts, DMD, is an Associate General Dentist at Nova Dental Partners in Fairfax, Alexandria, and Woodbridge, Virginia. She is committed to providing quality dental care while simultaneously creating a gentle, comfortable, and friendly environment for each patient. She prides herself on understanding each patient’s unique needs and making each patient feel at home in our office.
She received her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience before she attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Shortly after, she completed an Advanced Education of General Dentistry Residency at the University of Connecticut. Although her formal education has come to a close, Dr. Coutts believes in the never-ending advancement of knowledge through continued education courses.
Dr. Coutts is a Boston native. When she is not in the office, she enjoys taking trips to New England to visit family and friends. She loves to try new restaurants/cuisines, travel, and spend time with her loyal canine companion, Zoey.

Dr. Kopal Agarwal is a general dentist in Sterling VA. She graduated from Tufts University – School of Dental Medicine, Boston MA with Doctor of Dental Medicine and Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Meerut University, India. She practiced as a General Dentist in India before attending Tufts University, where she received rigorous training in General Dentistry. She has volunteered at several non-profit dental camps.
