For his undergraduate studies, Dr. Lin attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he consistently demonstrated academic excellence. Dr. Lin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
Dr. Lin completed his Doctor of Medicine at The Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia, which is the largest and longest operating medical school in the state.
While at VCU School of Medicine, Dr. Lin continued to excel and further developed his interests in family medicine. He went on to complete the Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency program in Front Royal, Virginia, and a Family Practice Faculty Development Fellowship back at VCU.
Dr. Lin serves as an assistant clinical professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and maintains professional affiliations with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. He has been published for his work on assessing a possible link between leukemia and exposure to electromagnetic radiation. He looks forward to helping his new and long-standing patients at Fauquier Family Practice, PLC.

Catherine Holder, PA-C, is a physician assistant with more than 10 years of experience. At Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery, PC. Catherine specializes in diagnosing and treating anal pain, hemorrhoids, abscesses, and other colorectal conditions.
Catherine completed her undergraduate and physician assistant training at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before returning to her home state of Alaska to specialize in colon and rectal surgery. During the early years of her career, Catherine met her husband, an Air Force pilot, and relocated to Washington state, where she continued to specialize in surgery.
After welcoming their third child, Catherine and her husband were stationed in Illinois. Catherine transitioned into being a stay-at-home parent during this time before having her third child and moving to Northern Virginia. She is thrilled to rejoin the workforce and return to her passion of helping others at Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery, PC.
With extensive education, training, and a compassionate demeanor, Catherine hopes to help her patients feel empowered to face their medical and surgical concerns.
