Dr. Monica Ramirez is a Dallas native who has just completed her residency at UT Health San Antonio.  She is excited to be back in Dallas and thrilled to be joining Southwest Family Medicine Associates. 

Dr. Ramirez pursued Family Medicine as it allows her to form trusting and long-lasting relationships with patients and their family members. She is a strong believer of the “whole person” approach which is at the heart of family medicine and an advocate of education and preventive medicine.

A graduate of UT San Antonio, “Dr. J” (as she is known to her patients) joined us in 2004. Dr. Jaiswal heads our care coordination and outreach program that ensures the highest quality of care and customer service. She gets much joy in caring for those who are in need, and is known for her loving and compassionate bedside manners, especially when caring for the elderly. Her clinical emphasis is on managing hypertension and heart disease. Outside of work Dr Jaiswal enjoys spending time with family and friends.

 

 Sarah Ashitey, MD is board certified in Family Medicine and provides comprehensive care both for the individual and family. She brings a patient-centered personal touch into every encounter and believes that each patient’s unique story is central to the healing process and path to wholeness and wellbeing.

She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and completed her residency at the esteemed John Peter Smith Hospital residency program. It is here that she gained the tools needed for broad spectrum family medicine as well as an unparalleled experience in procedural training.

Consequently Dr. Ashitey is able to offer her patients a wide array of services from her skill set including but not limited to chronic disease management, joint injections and dry needling, laser therapy and hormone therapy.

She heads up the Sexual Healing and Wellness programs at Southwest Family where we offer Adam and Eve packages using laser and PRP shots for Penile Enhancement and Vaginal Rejuvenation.

Dr. Sarah has an integrative philosophical background, so she works with the whole person to combine meds, and other natural modalities to get the best results.

In her spare time, she enjoys storytelling, travel, and playing tennis. She has a special interest in community health and development and lends her time outside of clinical hours to community-based research and various community health initiatives.

 

About Dr. Lopez

Dr. Jaxel Lopez-Sepulveda is a board-certified family medicine physician serving men, women, and children at Clinica tu Salud in Irving, Texas. Dr. Lopez-Sepulveda is dedicated to providing his patients with compassionate, affordable, and individualized care. He founded Clinica tu Salud in 2017.

Dr. Lopez-Sepulveda was born in Puerto Rico and grew up interested in medicine and helping others. He looked up to his father, Dr. Angel Luis López Ruiz, a well-established surgeon in Puerto Rico.

At a young age, Dr. Lopez-Sepulveda realized his vocation to become a physician. His childhood brimmed with trips to the hospital where he would accompany and observe his father at work.

Since his early years, Dr. Lopez-Sepulveda has found the field of medicine riveting and believes the experiences with his father taught him the framework and principles of methodical, empathetic, and efficient care. His primary goal is to enhance patient wellness overall.

Community Health Center, Inc in Grand Prairie, Texas where she is actively practicing as an FNP-C. Karan has been in nursing for greater than 25 years specializing in pediatric nursing, critical care nursing, and emergency medicine. She has been recognized as a Sigma Theta Tau international member for nurses. She was awarded the P.R.I.D.E. (Participation, Respect, Integrity, Diversity and Excellence) Values award for nursing by the University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, Illinois for excellence in nursing. She has had a career interest in the health and well-being of the family since her inception of her career. Her focus is identifying disease, managing chronic illness, and educating patients about their health.

Harman P. Dr. Harman P. Kaur has trained at some of the best training programs in the country. Before coming to the US, she finished medical school at Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India where she graduated in the Top 10% of her class. She completed her internship at the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Spokane, Washington (an affiliate of the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA) and then her Residency at SUNY-Buffalo Internal Medicine Residency Program in Buffalo, NY. Her Fellowship Training in Oncology was at the nationally - acclaimed Wilmot Cancer Institute in Rochester, NY. This experienced was followed with a Faculty Position at Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY before moving to the Dallas area with her family. She has also co-authored various book chapters in medical textbooks which are used in teaching programs across the country.

Dr. Kaur is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. In her free time, Dr. Kaur enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering time at the local Sikh Temple where she focuses on her faith, Sikhism. 

Iyen Omoragbon, FNP-C, is an outstanding family nurse practitioner at WithCare Clinic in the Bedford area. He is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has more than 12 years of medical experience.

Iyen specializes in urgent care and general family medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and obtained his master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Walden University, based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
