Kennedy Gombert was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and went to the University of Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. At the University of Alabama, she was involved in pre-medical societies, club soccer, and her sorority.

After graduating from Alabama in 2020, she moved back to San Antonio and was a medical scribe before attending PA school at West Coast University in Dallas, TX where she earned a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. During PA school, she developed a passion for surgery and is excited begin her career in orthopedics.

Outside of work, she loves to read, spend time with friends, travel, and cheer on Alabama football (roll tide!)

Dennis DeLeon is a passionate and devoted physical therapist assistant (PTA) at Orthopaedic Specialists of Dallas, with multiple offices conveniently located in Rockwall, Wylie, Forney, and Terrell, Texas.

He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He relocated to Texas after serving in the United States Air Force (USAF or US Air Force). 

Dennis was stationed in Hawaii, North Dakota, Portugal, and Jordan. During his time in the military, Dennis discovered a passion for helping people and wanted to pursue a career that combined this desire to help people with his love for being active.

He received an Associate of Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant in 2021 and looks forward to utilizing all he has learned to provide the highest quality patient care.

When not in the clinic, Dennis enjoys lifting heavy weights, watching sports, exploring the great outdoors, and finding the best ramen shops in DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth).

Umar Burney MD, MBA is the founding and managing partner at Orthopaedic Specialists of Dallas. He is dual board-certified in general orthopaedics and sports medicine surgery.

Dr. Burney was born in Madison, Wisconsin. His parents were both in the teaching profession and taught the importance of learning and education. Living abroad during high school, he had the unique opportunity to graduate with a secondary education certification from the University of Cambridge in England.

He returned to the University of Wisconsin in Madison to complete his undergraduate degree in medical microbiology and immunology with a special interest in communicative diseases of the third world.

Dr. Burney attended Saint George's University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada, and joined the Iota Epsilon Alpha International Medical Honors Society his sophomore year. He then completed his internship and orthopaedic surgical residency at Louisiana State University Shreveport, where he received several awards for excellence in basic science research and anatomy.

After graduating from LSU, Dr. Burney completed a sports medicine and joint replacement fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Leland Winston and Dr. Thomas Clanton at the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Burney has served on numerous committees throughout his career. His current roles include Joint Replacement Director and Vice Chair of the Board of Managers at Texas Health Surgery Center of Rockwall. His primary focus is sports medicine and joint replacement.

Dr. Burney is married to Nazlee, an elementary educator, and they share three children. He enjoys philanthropy, family time, traveling, running, and soccer in his spare time.

Dr. Linh Ba Nguyen is a highly regarded internist, with a specialization in Sleep Medicine, practicing in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. He and his wife Dr. Thuy Ngoc Nguyen treat their patients from the warm and comfortable Prima Health Clinic in Garland, TX.

Dr. Linh Ba Nguyen grew up in Houston and later attended the University of Dallas at Irving where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He then went to the UT San Antonio Medical School and completed his internship in Internal Medicine. Dr. Nguyen transferred to the UTMB to complete his residency in Internal Medicine. He then joined the Prima Health Clinic in 1993. Dr. Nguyen is also board certified in Sleep Medicine, which he obtained in 2010.

Dr. Linh Ba Nguyen spends his spare time with the three daughters he has with his wife and is an avid runner. He has even run in marathons and a few triathlons.

Dr. Thuy Ngoc Nguyen is a leading internist in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area with a focus on Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine. She practices at the Prima Health Clinic in Garland, TX, with her husband, Dr. Linh Ba Nguyen. Dr. Thuy Ngoc Nguyen is a native of Dallas and grew up assisting her father Dr. Thanh Nguyen at the Prima Health Clinic. Dr. Nguyen then returned to Dallas for her Internship and Residency training in Internal Medicine at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Dr. Nguyen then joined her husband, Dr. Linh Ba Nguyen, and father at the Prima Health Clinic in 1996.  She is devoted to early detection and determining the root cause of illnesses through functional testing. Saba Shabnam, MD, FAAFP, is a board-certified family medicine physician in Grapevine, Texas, proudly serving the communities in the Dallas Fort Worth area for more than 15 years. Dr. Shabnam graduated with honors from the Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1996. She moved to the United States and completed her family medicine training at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York City, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College. Through this residency, Dr. Shabnam served as chief resident.
