In 2019, internist Azra Hussaini, MD, FACP, opened The Doc’s Here, offering telemedicine and house calls to patients. As of 2022, she is also offering in-office visits. The hope of Dr. Hussaini is to provide more accessible, patient-centered primary care to patients in Maryland, with a recent expansion to telemedicine in New York and Virginia as well. In 1990, Dr. Hussaini finished her medical education at the Dow University of Health Sciences in Pakistan. Afterward, she moved to the United States to pursue a residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai’s Elmhurst Hospital Center. She went on to complete a fellowship in geriatrics at the Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland & Foleys' Elder Health Center. In 1997, she moved to Baltimore with her family and received her board certification in internal medicine.
Having trained in Pakistan and the US, Dr. Hussaini considers herself an energetic, adaptable, and culturally sensitive practitioner. In her practice, she enjoys opportunities to work as an individual or in a team to address patient needs, from wellness exams to chronic care management and mental health evaluations.
