Board-certified since 1987, Dr. Garcia is a highly-trained and experienced Family Medicine physician. After graduation in 1984 from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, he completed in 1987 residency at McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation in Waco. With a special interest in gynecology, he earned certification from the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology in 1993.
He opened his first office in Lancaster, Texas, then moved to Professional Office Building 2 (POB II) at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in 2003, doing business as Southwest Child and Family Medicine, P.A. until 2014. Dr. Garcia and most of his office staff speak both English and Spanish.
For 20 years, I have worked as a nurse in the emergency department which has taught me to recognize and treat a wide range of ailments. My desire to continue to help people during their time of need but also to focus more on preventative health led me to become a nurse practitioner.
I strive to provide compassionate, quality, timely, and appropriate care to all patients. Conversing and connecting with patients comes naturally to me. I enjoy explaining to patients the steps they should take for optimal lifelong health as well as, the care they need during times of illness or injury.
I was raised in St. Louis, MO and moved to Texas with my family in 2008. I became a registered nurse over 25 years ago and worked as a cardiac and critical care nurse before moving overseas and shifting my focus to global & integrative health care.
I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with an emphasis in Family Practice from Texas Tech University and joined the practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and friends, traveling, water sports, reading, and all things music. I am also a dedicated St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Dr. Linh Ba Nguyen grew up in Houston and later attended the University of Dallas at Irving where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He then went to the UT San Antonio Medical School and completed his internship in Internal Medicine. Dr. Nguyen transferred to the UTMB to complete his residency in Internal Medicine. He then joined the Prima Health Clinic in 1993. Dr. Nguyen is also board certified in Sleep Medicine, which he obtained in 2010.
Dr. Linh Ba Nguyen spends his spare time with the three daughters he has with his wife and is an avid runner. He has even run in marathons and a few triathlons.
