Kiran Farheen, MD, is a triple board-certified physician in internal medicine, rheumatology, and obesity medicine, proudly serving the Katy, Texas community. With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Farheen is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Dr. Farheen earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she trained under leading experts and conducted advanced research in ankylosing spondylitis. Before establishing her own practice, Dr. Farheen served as an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunogenetics for five years.

I am a Texas-trained and board-certified family physician, and I am excited to be a part of Fulshear Family Medicine. I graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine and completed my residency training at Memorial Family Medicine in Sugar Land, TX.  My passion for medicine is driven by a commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of my patients through evidence-based practices, and open communication. When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending my free time with my family and pursuing various interests, including carpentry, cycling, and outdoor activities.

Haala Hai, DO, is board-certified in family medicine and sees patients of all ages. At Healthy Horizons Clinic in Pasadena, Texas, she hopes to treat her patients with utmost regard and care. 

Dr. Hai received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She then received her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston, Texas. 

Her clinical interests include women's health, nutritional counseling, and preventive medicine. She also provides care for acute and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, anxiety/depression, and arthritis.

Dr. Hai enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and considers herself a partner in their care and well-being. She has experience with the most current family medicine evidence-based practices and urgent care procedures. Dr. Hai has also participated in research in clinic flow management and breast cancer.

In her spare time, Dr. Hai enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.

Vital Clinic and Spa's founder, Harman Buttar, MD completed her training in Family Medicine at The Methodist Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston, Texas. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). Encountered with health struggles in her immediate family, Dr. Buttar began to look into the role of environmental and biochemical factors in determining overall health and response to medical treatments. This interest lead her on a path to train in Functional Medicine through the American Academy of Functional Medicine (AAFM) and The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Recognizing the importance of a multi-faceted and personalized approach to wellness and vitality, Vital Clinic and Spa was created to provide customized services in functional medicine, primary care, preventative care, mental health, skin care, diet, and weight management.

Dr. Qureshi is a Family Physician board certified by ABFM and has been serving the Galveston County area for the last 8 years at UTMB. 

He served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UTMB where he trained medical students and Family Medicine residents over the years. While at UTMB he received Resident Teacher Award in 2016 and Faculty of the Year Award in 2017.

His passion lies in physical and mental wellness. He is an avid runner and competes in races throughout Texas having completed two marathons and a 70.3 Ironman. This passion has sparked a desire to educate and motivate his patients to lead a healthier lifestyle. Robert Johnston, MD, is a primary care physician at Jacinto Medical Group in La Porte, Texas. He has been treating patients around Texas for more than 30 years, specializing in family medicine.

Residing in Texas for more than three decades, Dr. Johnston graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, in 1987. After earning his doctorate in medicine, Dr. Johnston completed his family practice residency at Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown, Texas, in 1990.

A native of Spain, Dr. Pardo graduated from the University of Zaragoza in 1976, with a licentiate in medicine and surgery. Dr. Pardo made the move to Amarillo, Texas, to complete his family practice residency at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center, where he treated patients from 1978-81.

Dr. Pardo has always loved family medicine, as it allows him to treat a variety of illnesses and medical conditions while working with patients of all ages. He strives to exert a positive influence on his patients, answering their questions in an informative manner and making them feel comfortable in a warm environment.

After living in Texas for more than 40 years, Dr. Pardo belongs to a number of prominent medical organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Harris County Academy of Family Physicians, the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Pardo is an extrovert who loves interacting with patients. He is committed to providing high-quality care to each patient that walks into his office. He speaks English and Spanish. Outside of work, Dr. Pardo loves to spend time with his wife, a registered nurse, and their three children.

Michelle Fredricks, MD, is a board-certified primary care physician caring for patients around Baytown, Texas, at Jacinto Medical Group. Practicing for more than 20 years, Dr. Fredricks is dedicated to working with all ages, ensuring that she can treat patients at any stage during their life.

Passionate about helping others throughout college, Dr. Fredricks enrolled in the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio after receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Houston, earning her doctorate in medicine in 1995.

Now a longtime Baytown resident, it comes as no surprise that Dr. Fredricks completed her residency in the city she loves, at Houston Methodist Hospital, now Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital. After finishing her residency in 1998, Dr. Fredricks enthusiastically joined Jacinto Medical Group, where she practices to this day.

Dr. Fredricks continues to enjoy treating patients in one of the oldest and largest multispecialty clinics in Texas’ East Harris County.

Dr. James Wells joined our elite team of providers in July 2023, bringing with him over 40 years of education, training, and experience.

After graduating with his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Wells began practicing Family Medicine at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. He eventually moved to Selma Family Health Care, where he continued to practice Family Medicine, until he opened his own private practice, J. Darrick Wells MD, Inc., in 1996. Dr Wells continued to provide Family Medical Care for 22 years, before transitioning into the Urgent Care field of medicine.

Dr. Wells’ awards are numerous and extensive, including: the Richard D Steed Scholar Award, the All-Academic Award, the Associated Press Honorable-Mention, & Phi Beta Kappa. During his college years, he was the Team Captain for the Rice University Football team, he received the American Spirit award, the George R. Brown Most Valuable Receiver award, the All-Southwest Conference Receiver award, and was inducted into the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame.
