Martha Zaidi, PA-C, delivers exceptional patient care at Integrative Primary Care to the people of Houston and Katy, Texas. Martha takes a multidisciplinary approach to care. She has extensive experience diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions that impact pediatric to geriatric populations and is also skilled in treating open wounds and other trauma-related injuries.

In addition to trauma care and acute and chronic disease management, Martha’s background includes aesthetic medicine, skin care, and nutrition. The Texas Laser Institute recognizes her as a certified injector for Botox® and other dermal fillers. She also has experience administering injectable medications to treat carpal tunnel syndrome and other orthopedic conditions.

Martha earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Brownsville, Texas. She completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Texas’s Edinburg, Texas, location. Dr. Silvia Los earned her Medical Degree at Buenos Aires University and completed her Specialty in Family Medicine at UMass (University of Massachusetts). Soon after she was awarded the Honor degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine for her contributions on Medical Education, patient advocacy and leadership. Dr Los has more than 15 years of experience in Family Medicine and a great vision to transform Primary Care in this country based on her professional experiences in different University Clinics, Community Health Centers and Private Practices in different states in the USA and Australia. Dr Los is interested in all aspects of Family Medicine.

Dr. Shervy Xavier lived in Illinois for most of her life. She graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with Bachelor of Science in Biology. She completed medical school at American University of Antigua and completed her Family Medicine residency at University of Buffalo. She is board certified in Family Medicine. She enjoys the diversity that primary care offers and appreciates being able to provide continuity of care for her patients. In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, she also likes to focus on providing preventive and comprehensive care. Her approach to patient care is to be a patient advocate, to treat more than just the symptoms and to engage in shared decision-making to help patient attain their health care goals. When she’s not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr. Marie Sohner is a distinguished OB/GYN and wellness expert in our community, serving patients at Tomball Women’s Health Care Center for over 3 decades. She brings that specialized medical experience, and her passion for women’s health and quality of life, to her role as Wellness Director of New Life Wellness Medical Spa. 

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, Dr. Marie Sohner pursued her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Sohner is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in Hormone Replacement Therapy and weight loss and has dedicated her career to enhancing the lives of her patients through comprehensive gynecological care and innovative hormone replacement therapy and weight loss solutions. As Wellness Director, Dr. Sohner oversees all aspects of wellness and weight loss initiatives, ensuring that each patient receives tailored care that aligns with their health goals. 

With an active and robust life outside of the clinic, Dr. Sohner knows first-hand that her patients need to feel their best to tackle the busy, important work of their own daily lives. This drives her commitment to staying at the forefront of rapidly advancing treatments for weight loss and hormone replacement therapy.

Annie Chang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. 

Annie is originally from the Houston area and attended high school at St. Agnes Academy. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Nutrition in Business. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB in 2019. 

Before completing her graduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working as a clinical care coordinator in hepatology at the Houston Medical Center.

In addition to her background in nutrition, Annie holds a keen interest in skin care and in preventative medicine through lifestyle and diet. Building a strong relationship with every patient is an integral part of her practice. Having received personal training in dermatology from Dr. Alpesh Desai, DO, and Tejas Desai, DO, Annie practices medical dermatology, skin cancer surgeries, and other various skin procedures. Annie regularly pursues her continuing medical education in dermatology to provide the highest quality care for her patients.

She is currently a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association. In her free time, Annie enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time with her husband and English bulldog, Rex.

Brianna Kay, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in New Braunfels and Gonzales and San Antonio.

She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2012. After graduation, Brianna sub-specialized in medical and surgical dermatology and completed a 10-month internship with a board-certified dermatologist in New Braunfels, TX. 

She earned the title of Diplomate Fellow under the Society of Dermatology PAs (SDPA). The SDPA Fellowship Program represents the standard in dermatology physician assistant education, allowing graduates to demonstrate that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional patient care in dermatology.

Brianna has been practicing dermatology for over nine years. She is passionate about patient education and preventative medicine, focusing on helping her patients to understand their health and skin care needs. She advocates for skin cancer prevention and takes the time to address her patient's questions and concerns. 

Due to personal experiences, Brianna takes a special interest in auto-immune conditions, such as psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa. Whether treating complex auto-immune diseases, or more common skin conditions such as acne or eczema, she has a very thorough and proactive approach to help her patients reach their maximum quality of life!

When Brianna is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage daughter. Growing up in a military family, she frequently moved as a child and found a love for traveling. Her artistic hobbies include painting, crafting, and epoxy resin. Brianna lives in New Braunfels, Texas, and is excited to continue serving her local community.

Francis Dang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Lake Jackson. She joined the team in 2020.  

Francis graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences in Austin, Texas. She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she completed a dietetic internship in the Texas Medical Center and earned a Master in Public Health. Her master’s has a special focus on health promotion and behavioral sciences. 

She later returned to her hometown of Dallas, where she worked for six years as a registered dietitian for the UT Southwestern Solid Organ Transplant Program. During that time, her passion and interest for medicine grew, and she decided to pursue a new career as a physician assistant. In 2019, she completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Radford University in Roanoke, Virginia.

During her time as a registered dietitian, Francis cared for patients with a variety of medical conditions and learned the importance of patient-centered and preventative healthcare, all based on evidence-based medicine. She carried these values with her throughout her medical training and continues to uphold them as a physician assistant. Her interest and passion for dermatology came after experiencing the inner workings of a dermatology clinic during her clinical rotations. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

In her free time, Francis enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and Yorkie pup, Leo. She enjoys cooking, relaxing at home, and trying new restaurants with her husband. She is looking forward to helping patients feel healthy and comfortable in their own skin. 

Zoe Apted, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. Joining the Heights Dermatology team in 2019, Zoe brings incredible expertise. 

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 2014, she completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. After finishing her MPH, she obtained a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2016. Zoe received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List.

Before completing her graduate studies, Zoe worked in clinical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Additionally, she spent six months volunteering as a medical assistant at a rural hospital in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. During this time, she discovered a passion for clinical care, which compelled her to pursue a career in medicine. She previously practiced in obstetrics and gynecology before moving into dermatology, a field of special interest to her. Zoe is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association.

In her free time, Zoe enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She lives in the greater Heights area and is excited to serve her community.

Regina Nicholson, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology. At their offices in Mansfield, Regina has been a team member since 2021. 

Raised in Colleyville, Texas, Regina graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree at Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude. Regina majored in biology and secondary education.

Regina later graduated with an associate’s degree in medical assisting from Butler County Community College in Butler, Pennsylvania, in 2016 and began her career in Dermatology. In 2018, Regina received a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She worked at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Dermatology Clinic treating patients, as a study coordinator for psoriasis studies, and preceptor for Physician Assistant students. She is currently a member of the Texas Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Regina is excited to join the Heights Dermatology team. She practices medical dermatology and performs skin cancer surgeries and other skin procedures. Regina enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games, knitting, traveling, and reading science fiction in her free time.
