Annie Chang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston.

Bita Pour-Jafari, MD, ABAARM, is a board-certified family physician with years of experience, she provides comprehensive and patient-centered care at Texas Premier Physicians P.A. in Houston, Texas. 

Dr. Jafari earned her Doctor of Medicine from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences in 2004, completing her residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, Texas. She relocated to Texas in 1997 and worked at The Texas Instituted for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) before returning to UTMB to continue her education. She graduated from UTMB as a Family Nurse Practitioner and has special interests in Women’s Health, Diabetes and Hypertension. She also works with Medtronic initiating and training patients for insulin pump therapy. She is also trained in cosmetic procedures i.e. Botox, Juvederm and laser therapy.

Originally from sunny Southern California, Kristen graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine, and earned his medical degree in Rhode Island. Along with primary care, Kristen specializes in women's health and genetic medicine. Mitzi Laughlin, PhD joined Houston Methodist in 2022 and made an immediate impact in Orthopedic research. She is a former athletic trainer who worked at Alief Hastings High School and Rice University. After earning her doctorate from the University of Houston she began working at NASA treating astronauts after injuries or spaceflight to the International Space Station (ISS). In 2016, she was awarded a 5-year, million dollar grant to study the time course of muscle atrophy during ISS missions. Currently, the focus of her research includes quantifying patient outcomes following orthopedic surgery and identifying factors that determine individual variations in return to sports and training.

Rafael Pardo, MD, FAAFP, is a board-certified primary care physician at Jacinto Medical Group in Baytown, Texas. He has been practicing medicine in clinics all over the world for more than 40 years.

A native of Spain, Dr. Pardo graduated from the University of Zaragoza in 1976, with a licentiate in medicine and surgery.
