Her journey to medicine has spanned continents and disciplines, reinforcing her commitment to whole-person care rooted in empathy, evidence, and advocacy.

Before entering medicine, Dr. Iqbal studied Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Stony Brook University. While she loved solving complex problems, she became even more intrigued by the human stories behind the data — the why behind the numbers. That curiosity led her to pursue her medical degree at the American University of Antigua, where she gained a global perspective on healthcare and a deep commitment to equity.

Her clinical path has been rich with experiences — from presenting rare cases at state-level conferences to helping patients manage sleep disorders that quietly affect every aspect of their lives.
