Through active listening and thoughtful questioning, I am able to deliver high-quality care that utilizes the most advancement in medicine. I graduated in 2009 with honors, where I completed my clinical training in Family Medicine. I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I was also a clinical faculty at DeSales University for 5 where I had the privilege of helping to mentor the next generation of nurse practitioners.

Dr. Chantal D. Lewis is a board-certified family medicine physician with over ten years of experience in providing care for the elderly, young adults and children. She was one of the proud recipients of the Northern Virginia Top Doctors award in 2015 and 2016. Naturally enthusiastic, driven, and passionate about learning, she brings a comprehensive approach to medical care by helping patients optimize their mental, spiritual, and physical health. Her healthcare career began after graduating from Montgomery College in 2017 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. While working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a high-risk perinatal center at Holy Cross Hospital, Selamawit continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland in 2020. Her deep compassion for improving women's health and commitment to promoting equity and inclusivity within the healthcare system motivated her to pursue a Master's degree in the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) Program at Georgetown University, which she completed in 2024. With extensive experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients, Selamawit has honed the ability to build therapeutic relationships with patients from diverse communities. The rigorous WHNP program at Georgetown University further equipped her to deliver high-quality, evidence-based healthcare.

Alyssa Larimore, CRNP is a certified registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in women's health. She received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2001. She is a certified Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health through the University of Maryland School of Nursing and the National Certification Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing. Alyssa is a busy mother of three young children. She loves spending time with her family and still manages to exercise regularly. As a native of Maryland, Alyssa is a Ravens and Terps fan and enjoys attending their games.

Leah is a family nurse practitioner with clinical experience in women’s health and pediatrics. Most recently Leah worked at an outpatient pediatric facility in Loudoun County VA. Leah received a Masters of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Shenandoah University in 2013. Leah received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Shepherd University in 2006. Leah was a labor and delivery nurse at Fredrick Memorial Hospital from 2006-2013. In her spare time, Leah enjoys recreational running and spending time with her family.

Colleen Abell is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in 2006. She has practiced as a nurse practitioner for the past sixteen years. Ms. Abell's experience includes working in a family medical clinic, but she spent most of her career providing care for patients recovering from Bariatric and GI surgical/oncology procedures. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. Abell worked as a Registered Nurse in cardiology and emergency medicine.

Colleen joined the Gastro Center of Maryland in 2021 after relocating from the NY/NJ area. She is dedicated to being a great provider and advocate for her patients. Outside of work, Ms. Abell enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys.

Abbi Lamparelli is a Nurse Practitioner with Gastro Centers of Maryland, bringing over a decade of hands-on clinical experience to her role. She began her career in medical-surgical and emergency medicine and transitioned into advanced practice nursing in 2023 after completing her training at Drexel University. She further advanced her education by earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Aspen University.

Mrs. Monica Lovins, is a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner who has been in health care for the last 40 years, advancing her career as a registered nurse in the ICU, Educator in the ICU as well as teaching at Catholic University of America while attaining her master’s in science with a GPA of 3.89, from Felician University, Lodi, New Jersey. She has received multiple nursing award to include excellence and expertise in multiple nursing modalities.

Monica joined Gastro Center of Maryland in 2017 after many years at John’s Hospital Bayview in the Department of Surgery, Bariatric Department. Her mission to treat all gastrointestinal diseases and facilitate, best outcomes for patients who suffer from chronic gastrointestinal diseases.
