He later specialized in facial plastic surgery, where he practiced for over 10 years. During that time, he developed a substance addiction that ultimately consumed his personal and professional life. After successfully completing extensive drug and alcohol treatment, he returned to the practice of medicine. He has since dedicated his personal and professional life to the treatment of others suffering from similar addictions. Dr. Ferguson is a respected educator and a leader in the field of age-related decline of testosterone in men, also known as andropause. He provides a wide range of health care services, including addiction services, medical weight-loss programs, preventive care services, and family medicine designed to treat all family members, from pediatric to geriatric patients.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, he earned his medical degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force and has served as an associate clinical assistant professor of medicine at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona.

Veronica Rodriguez, MD, is a family medicine and primary care physician. She serves patients in Phoenix, Arizona, at the HealthyU Clinics - Phoenix 40th St. location.
Dr. Rodriguez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She received her bachelor's degree in biology at the Universidad de Puerto Rico. She then attended medical school at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Rodriguez completed her residency training at Abrazo Central Family Medicine Residency in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Rodriguez joined HealthyU Clinics in 2022. As a primary care physician, she believes in providing quality care to each of her patients by encouraging healthy choices and focusing on preventive medicine. It is her belief that healthy food, an active lifestyle, and good healthcare are critical to a long, happy, and fulfilling life.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys camping, running, drawing, and visiting new restaurants.

Having spent his formative years in diverse regions such as South America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Northwest, Dr. La Grotta has cultivated a unique perspective. His focus on Primary Care and Urgent Care stems from a seamless blend of practical experience and scientific knowledge.
Although his family has been in the Pacific Northwest for four decades, Dr. La Grotta eagerly embraces Arizona as his new home. He looks forward to immersing himself in the beauty of the state, connecting with its vibrant communities, and indulging in the rich gastronomy that Arizona has to offer.
Jessica is certified as a gender-care provider and HIV Specialist. She began her career in the ER where she was confronted with how systemic failures result in folks falling through the cracks, especially folks from the LGBTQ+ community. Learning from and being moved by many close family, friends, and patients of lived experience, she is often quoted as saying, “I knew if I could be doing something, I absolutely should be.” During her graduate studies, she coordinated meetings with the Dean, Assistant Dean, and a dear friend of lived experience to transform the Women’s Health course into Gender Health to ensure gender-affirming healthcare was incorporated into the graduate and undergraduate nursing curriculum at IUSB. Since graduating in 2016, she continued the bold work of bettering healthcare for the LGBTQ+ community in family practices in Indiana and California. She has now branched out into telemedince to improve access to competent care for patients otherwise out of reach.

She loves spending time with her family and friends and can be found hanging out at various coffee shops throughout the Valley.
