Dr. Bastani is a Licensed Family Medicine specialist in the state of Illinois. He graduated from Rush Medical School and received his residency training at the Northwestern University-St. Joseph Hospital Family Medicine Program where he also served as chief resident. In addition, he completed an externship in Family Therapy at the Family Institute of Chicago, a Northwestern University affiliate.
In addition to 25 plus years as a faculty member of one of Chicago’s leading Family Medicine residency programs, he has worked as a private physician in an ethnically diverse neighborhood of the city since the 1990's. He has extensive experience in hospitalist medicine, and previously served as the Medical Director of an alternative health center focused on the care of AIDS patients. His areas of special interest and expertise include academic evidence based medicine, geriatrics, complex medical cases as well as general family and preventive medicine.

In 1999, Dr. Olson started Olson Chiropractic, Inc., focusing on chiropractic care and rehabilitation. In 2012 he expanded the clinic into Pure Health Physical Medicine, adding medical services to provide convenient integrated services for patients in one location. Pure Health Physical Medicine joined Anodyne Pain and Wellness Solutions in 2019 but has since returned to our original name “Pure Health”.
