I’m Elizabeth ("Ella") DeGroot, an AMFT based in Newport Beach, California. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California, where I focused on culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, attachment-based work. I have experience supporting adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, spiritual or belief transitions, grief, and relational challenges.
Starting therapy can feel tender, but you don’t have to do this alone. With a warm, trauma‑informed, relational approach, I’ll help you feel more grounded, understood, and connected to yourself. My therapeutic space is for clients longing to feel more grounded, connected, and at home in their own story. I provide support that’s gentle, collaborative, and deeply human as you begin to understand your patterns, and reconnect with who you’re becoming.
“I always gain new insights with her. She's very nice. She has a great understanding of various personal motivations. I love my therapy sessions with her”
