Ricardo Pardo, MD, is a board-certified neurologist treating patients around the Baytown, Texas, community at Jacinto Medical Group. Dr. Pardo has been working at clinics in Baytown for more than 30 years.
Since moving to Baytown with his family in 1969, Dr. Pardo considers himself a true Texan. Shortly after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, Dr. Pardo enrolled in the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, where he earned his doctorate in medicine in 1985.
Dr. Pardo went on to complete a neurology residency, eventually becoming chief resident, at the University of Texas. As a young medical student, he had his pick of areas to specialize in, but Dr. Pardo felt that neurology would offer more opportunities in medical advances over the next few decades. To his delight, Dr. Pardo’s gut feeling proved to be right.
He also finished a postdoctoral neuroendocrinology fellowship at the Laboratory of Neuroendocrinology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1985.
After moving home to Baytown, where his brother worked as a family practitioner, Dr. Pardo launched his own practice as a neurologist. In 1996, he and Stephanie Swartz, MD, decided to open Jacinto Medical Group, where they still remain today.
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, Dr. Pardo belongs to a number of medical organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Neurological Society, the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Foundation.
Dr. Pardo is married and has one son. When he isn’t at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, practicing martial arts, and scuba diving.
