Urania Davis, DO, FACOOG is a Board Certified OB/GYN at Nile Women’s Health Care in Roswell and Suwanee, Georgia. She specializes in pre-conception counseling and helping women prepare themselves for successful pregnancies. 

Dr. Davis is focused on caring for the whole person, not just the symptoms that may have brought them to see her. It’s the part she enjoys most about being a physician. Originally from Dominica and raised in St. Croix, Dr. Davis received both a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Biomedical Science from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Georgia. Heather Laflam, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner at Nile Women’s Health Care in Roswell, Georgia. 

Heather’s goal as a certified-nurse midwife is to make sure no woman has to experience the type of traumatic experience that she went through with the birth of her second child. She wants to help others avoid feeling the way she did. It’s what guided her pursuit to become a midwife.

Originally from Danielsville, GA, Heather attended the Medical College of GA for her bachelors in nursing where she decided she would dedicate her career to helping mothers and babies. After working as a highly-motivated registered nurse in labor and delivery for over a decade she went back to Georgia College and State University for her masters to become a certified nurse midwife.

Now, as an official member of the Nile Women’s Health Care family, Heather will be providing comprehensive care to gynecological, obstetrical, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum clients. Heather believes, as a society, we need to take better care of our women immediately following the birth of their children. As a result, she focuses on postpartum depression with research and education. As an Alpharetta/Roswell midwife, Heather will deliver at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital.

Heather and her family still call their quaint town home. As a self-described hard worker, she enjoys sewing and embroidering baby items when not at work.

Board-certified OB/GYN Hughan Frederick, MD, FACOG, is the founder of Nile Women’s Health Care in Roswell and Suwanee, Georgia.

Practicing for nearly 20 years, Dr. Frederick has had the experience of helping thousands of women from childbirth through menopause and everything in between. Trained in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, bio-identical hormones, and bariatrics, he has the unique expertise to help women through life’s many stages.

While he manages several high-risk pregnancies, Dr. Frederick maintains a low C-section rate compared to the national average. He has performed hundreds of gynecological surgeries including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and routine OB/GYN examinations.

Dr. Jocelyn Slaughter, MD is a board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist who founded The Healthy Woman -a multi-specialty women's healthcare practice- in 2016. Dr. Slaughter started the practice with a focus on providing safe, comfortable and innovative healthcare for women, while promoting entrepreneurship for Physicians.

There are currently 3 offices in Gwinnett County, GA, with the official franchise and expansion starting in the summer of 2023. Originally from Chicago, Dr. Slaughter received her baccalaureate in 2004 from Howard University, and her doctorate of Medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School in Medicine in 2008.

She then ventured to Atlanta, GA to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Grady Memorial Hospital under the Morehouse School of Medicine (c/o 2012). She is a mother of three daughters, ages 9, 5 and 1, and will be celebrating 10 years of marriage with her husband Benjamin Moore this summer.

Dr. Clemens is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist.  After graduating from Stanford University, she earned her medical degree from Duke University and her Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. In 2012, she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of California San Francisco.  She is proud of her medical work and teaching in Mexico, Tanzania, Kenya and Liberia.

Dr. Clemens embraces full scope obstetrics and gynecology with a lifestyle medicine approach.  Dr. Clemens appreciates the complex nature of women’s health and therefore aims to incorporate nutrition, spirituality, movement, community, and complementary medicine.  Her expertise includes high and low risk pregnancies, preconception counseling, colposcopy, menopause and its transitions, fibroids, pelvic pain, evaluation and management of abnormal bleeding, birth control, and well women visits.

Lori Dalcour serves as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a proud team member at The Healthy Women in Lawrenceville and Snellville Georgia.

She answered the initial call to nursing at a vocational high school in Maryland where she graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant. As the youngest of five children, she was the first member of her family to attend and successfully graduate from college with an Associates in Nursing. She immediately secured licensure as a Registered Nurse. Lori relocated to Georgia and as a double Panther received her bachelor’s and master’s at Georgia State University and remains in the School of Nursing as the women’s health course instructor.

With over three decades of women’s health experience, her love and compassion for nursing continues to be based on one concept, 'caring'. As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner attentive on ensuring quality of life, her nursing practice is based on wellness and optimal health maintenance.

She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree at Georgia College and State University with a focus on menopausal awareness. During her spare time, Lori loves spending time with her husband, twins, and family pet. She believes family and friends are everything!
