Dr. Karen Mass, MD, FACOG, is a dedicated and experienced doctor of medicine and Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.    Dr. Mass provides personal, expert,  and compassionate care to all patients. She is the founder and President of Women's Specialty Care SC, one of the premier women’s health medical practices of the north shore of Chicago since 2002.   Learning and furthering education has always been a passion for Dr. Mass. She began her medical studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Next, she pursued specialty training in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Michigan (UMich), in Ann Arbor.

 She was appointed administrative chief resident in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor,, Michigan, and her first academic appointment was as Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

 

 Dr. Mass is currently appointed as clinical faculty at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (NU Feinberg) in Chicago, Illinois. She serves as the medical staff attending at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest and NorthShore Highland Park hospitals.

Alla Bodner, MD, is a board-certified OB-GYN and women's health specialist with extensive experience in cosmetic injectables. Dr. Bodner brings over a decade of expertise to DK Med Spa, which has offices in Northshore Northbrook, Illinois, and the Midtown of Manhattan in New York City.

Dr. Bodner received her bachelor's degree from Lake Forest College in Illinois before earning her medical degree from Ross University Medical School. Dr. Bodner went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. She became board-certified in 2015 by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In her practice, Dr. Bodner specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic techniques and the DaVinci Robotic Surgical System. Mary Faith Terkildsen, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and AASECT-certified sex counselor at Beyond Gyne Health in Gurnee, Illinois. She is passionate about helping women feel their best at every stage of life, with a special focus on sexual wellness and menopause care.

Dr. Terkildsen earned both her undergraduate degree in psychology and neuroscience and her medical degree from Tulane University, then completed her OB/GYN residency at Northwestern University’s Prentice Women’s Hospital, where she served as administrative chief resident.

Over the years, she discovered that many women have questions about sexual health that aren’t often addressed in traditional medical care. Wanting to change that, she pursued additional training at the University of Michigan and became certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). In 2022, she launched a Women’s Sexual Health program and partnered with the Kellogg Cancer Center to support women during and after cancer treatment. Inspired by her patients’ needs, she expanded her work to include menopause and hormone therapy, earning her Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) designation in 2025.

Dr. Terkildsen is active in national organizations dedicated to women’s sexual health and serves as a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), where she contributes to the Fellowship Committee.

Outside of work, Dr. Terkildsen loves to cook, plan parties, and volunteer her time to support women and healthcare professionals running for public office. Dr. Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN. She has been a dedicated member of the practice since 2004.

Dr. Oh earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Northwestern University before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000. She then completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals, where she served as academic chief resident. Maureen Tart, MD, FACOG, MSCP, is a board-certified OB/GYN.  Before joining the practice in 2011, Dr. Tart practiced in Chicago for over a decade.  She served as Co-Medical Director of her group and held the role of Vice Chair of the OB/GYN department for several years.

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Tart moved to Chicago for her residency training and has since built a career dedicated to women’s health. She earned both her undergraduate degree in psychology and her medical degree from Georgetown University before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. During her residency, she served as the academic chief resident and trained alongside Dr. Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, and Dr. Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG.

Dr. Tart has a special interest in adolescent health, weight management, infertility care, and menopause management. As a MSCP - Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, she is dedicated to guiding patients through every stage of life with personalized, compassionate care. She views her role as an OB/GYN as a partnership—helping patients navigate their health from adolescence through menopause while building lasting relationships with them and their families.

Outside of work, Dr. Tart stays busy with her boys, two Spring Spaniels, yoga, and racquet sports. Her youngest was adopted domestically, which has made adoption advocacy a cause close to her heart. Her decision to move to the suburbs was driven by her children, ensuring they had the best environment to grow and thrive.

Shawn Davies, MD, is an experienced OB/GYN at Yorktown Health, located in Lombard, Illinois. He has over 22 years of experience with interests in both Obstetrics and Gynecology. His goal has always been to provide the best-individualized care possible to reach the best outcome.  

Dr. Davies attended college at Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets for four years. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree, he attended medical school at Rush Medical College from 1990 to 1994. He completed his residency training at Rush University Medical Center from 1994 to 1998 in Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Dr. Davies was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in December 2000. He has been actively practicing as an attending physician since July 1998. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Davies is a father of four children and has always been active in coaching and refereeing their activities from AYSO to YBall.

About Dr. Moreira

Jennifer Moreira, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at ThriveOB and Women's Wellness in Barrington, Illinois. Dr. Moreira has experience providing compassionate and comprehensive women’s care throughout every stage of life. She specializes in all aspects of general gynecology, focusing on minimally invasive surgery, evaluation and treatment of irregular and abnormal menstrual bleeding, abnormal Pap smears, and menopausal management.

Dr. Moreira graduated cum laude from Loyola University, Chicago, with a degree in biological psychology. Following college, she attended Ross University School of Medicine and graduated with honors. She completed her residency at a high-volume urban teaching institution, Mercy Hospital, and Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Moreira is in good standing and an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Andrea Das, MD, FACOG is a skilled OB/GYN who specializes in women’s health, providing the highest standard of care for Chicagoland women at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Louisa Griggs, MD, FACOG, is excited to be the newest member of the team at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates, located in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois, and serving the greater Chicagoland area.

Dr. Griggs earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, located in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Griggs remembers making a hospital out of her trampoline as a little girl and pretending to deliver babies for her dolls. From that time on, she has had a strong passion for women's health which she brings to her approach towards patient care every day. Her interests include but are not limited to contraception, benign and high-risk obstetrics, traditional gynecological care, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and providing the best care possible to each patient. 

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling which allowed her to spend a year in Ecuador enhancing her Spanish speaking skills, and spending time with her husband as they explore the Northwest suburbs.

Djamilia Kryukov, MD, FACOG, is a compassionate OB/GYN who specializes in women’s health, providing the highest standard of care for Chicagoland women at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Dr. Kryukov attended medical school at I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy Faculty of General Medicine, located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. She completed further medical training at Henry Ford Hospital, located in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Kryukov has wanted to be an OB/GYN since she was a teenager, so that she could provide primary care to women through all stages of their lives. She feels it to be a joy and honor to be a part of each delivery she attends. She offers guidance and education to help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare needs. Her interests include traditional obstetrics and gynecological care; as well as, specialized services such as evaluation and management of infertility, gynecological urology, incontinence, and management of menopause.

Patricia Tagamolila MD is a board certified OB/GYN who grew up in Arlington Heights and graduated with a bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois, where she remained to complete a joint MD/MBA degree.

Dr. Tagamolila went on to do her OB/GYN residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. Since completing her residency, she has been practicing in the Chicago suburbs.

Her areas of interest include prenatal care, abnormal uterine bleeding, cervical dysplasia and complex contraception. Dr. Tagamolila prioritizes providing compassionate and thorough evidence-based care. Aarthi Arab, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while ensuring every patient feels heard and supported. She sees patients at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Arab earned her medical degree from Central Michigan University in Saginaw. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois.

Dr. Arab provides comprehensive OB/GYN care and has particular interests in low- and high-risk obstetrics, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and contraceptive care.
