Sophie completed her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at Yale School of Nursing. During her midwifery program she worked as a nurse at a freestanding birth center. She worked as a midwife in New York's Hudson Valley and Kalamazoo before returning home to southeast Michigan to provide care in 2021.
