Edward Decker, MD, joined Marano Eye Care in 1996 and has provided the most cutting-edge ophthalmology services to patients since that time. He sees patients at the practice's three convenient locations in Denville, Livingston, and Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Decker is an honor society graduate of Cornell University in New York City. He attended medical school at Upstate Medical University at Syracuse before completing his internship at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Decker served his residency at Summa Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he was selected to be Chief Resident senior year. As a Board Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, Dr. Decker cares for most eye disorders in patients of all ages.

With a commitment to his patients, Dr. Decker's professional skills and expertise are complemented by his desire to serve his patients with the care and respect they deserve. He has a particular interest in refractive surgery, laser vision correction, and the use of lasers to treat both diabetes and glaucoma. Dr. Decker has been performing laser vision correction surgery since 1996 and has significant experience in this field. He performs bladeless LASIK with the VISX and Intralase lasers. Matthew Marano Jr., MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and nationally recognized leader in laser vision correction and advanced cataract surgery. As founder and director of Marano Eye Care — with offices in Denville, Livingston, and Newark, New Jersey — he brings subspecialty-level expertise to one of the region's most comprehensive ophthalmology practices.

Dr. Marano earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Sherief Raouf, MD is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, glaucoma management, corneal disease, and laser vision correction — including LASIK and PRK.

Dr. Raouf earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, following his undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Northwell Health Eye Institute, then pursued advanced subspecialty training through a clinical fellowship in corneal and external ocular disease and refractive surgery.

His surgical expertise spans a broad range of vision-restoring and vision-enhancing procedures, including laser-assisted cataract surgery, advanced corneal surgery, corneal cross-linking (CXL), LASIK, and PRK. Dr. Raouf is equally skilled in the diagnosis and management of dry eye disease and complex ocular surface conditions.

Edward Marcus, M.D. was born in New York City, and grew up on Long Island. He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where he graduated with honors in 2004. He then moved to New York, where he attended medical school at the Carl Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he earned his M.D. degree. Dr. Marcus completed ophthalmology residency training at Rutgers University - New Jersey Medical School. He then received fellowship training in vitreo-retinal surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Marcus specializes in medical and surgical management of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. He also specializes in treating inflammatory and infectious eye diseases.

James Kelly, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Care & Surgery in New York City, which has has three convenient locations: in New York City, in the Bronx , and in New Rochelle. Dr. Kelly specializes in treating numerous eye disorders, including dry eyes, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dr. Kelly attended Stuyvesant High School in Lower Manhattan and earned his undergraduate and medical school degrees at Georgetown University in Washington DC. He completed a surgical internship at New York’s Maimonides Medical Center in Borough Park, Brooklyn. There, he rotated through numerous specialties, including trauma surgery, general surgery, cardiothoracic intensive care, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and internal medicine.

Dr. Kelly finished his medical training with a residency in ophthalmology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Glen Oaks, Queens, where he served as chief resident. Rajendra K. Bansal, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Care & Surgery in New York City, which has has three convenient locations: in New York City, in the Bronx , and in New Rochelle. Dr. Bansal specializes in glaucoma surgery, and he’s performed thousands of glaucoma procedures throughout his career.

Dr. Bansal earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delhi in India. He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in India, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency. He finished his educational training in New York City with a fellowship in glaucoma at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in Washington Heights, Manhattan, where he’s been on staff since.

Dr. Bansal is an associate clinical professor of ophthalmology at the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. There, he trains residents and fellows and lectures at national meetings. He is the author of numerous articles in prestigious, peer-reviewed medical journals.

Jeremy M. Cotliar is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Care & Surgery in New York City, which has has three convenient locations: in New York City, in the Bronx , and in New Rochelle. Dr. Cotliar specializes in glaucoma surgery, manual and laser-assisted cataract surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK and PRK), and premium intraocular lens (IOL) technology.  He also performs Botox and filler injections in his office. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Cotliar received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Cotliar completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. Dr. Cotliar is a member of the voluntary ophthalmology faculty at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, where he trains residents and fellows in cataract, glaucoma, pterygium, and other anterior segment eye surgeries.
