Dr. Derec Stanislav is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in knee and shoulder injuries, arthroscopic surgery, fracture care, and comprehensive orthopedic treatment for athletes and active individuals of all ages. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Kansas City University/HCA Research Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident and earning the highest orthopedic in-service examination score in his class for three consecutive years. He was also honored with the Bob Green Memorial Award from the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, recognizing the nation's highest score on the written orthopedic certification examination.

Dr. Stanislav earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Business, graduating Cum Laude, from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.

Ms. McVean has performed a variety of skills as a Physician’s Assistant over the last 24 years. She has triaged, diagnosed and treated illnesses and injuries from the neighborhood urgent care all the way to the emergency room. She has managed several clinical staff’s for 2 separate Orthopedic Clinics. She has performed as a first assistant in the operating room since 2001.
