Christopher “Chris” James, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Specialists. He is proud to serve patients throughout Palm Harbor, Florida. 

A Tampa native, Dr. James is a graduate of Jesuit High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University, where he played for the football team as a wide receiver. He went on to complete medical school at Saint George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and in select New York City area hospitals.

Dr. James completed orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Missouri - Columbia, followed by a fellowship in hip and knee replacement in Chicago’s Northshore University Health System. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. James has had extensive training in all aspects of both operative and nonoperative orthopedics. His primary interest is adult hip and knee reconstructive surgery that entails both primary and revision procedures. Scott Brotherton, MD, at Orthopedic Specialists in Palm Harbor, Florida, is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon with a military background. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for his undergraduate training, then earned his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee. 

Dr. Brotherton completed his surgical internship at Orlando Regional Medical Center and moved to upstate New York for his orthopedic residency at Albany Medical Center, where he focused heavily on orthopedic trauma and arthroplasty.

After completing his residency, Dr. Brotherton started his service in the United States Air Force. For his first assignment at Osan Air Base in South Korea, he provided orthopedic care to over 10,000 active duty soldiers and their dependents. During his service in the Air Force, he attained the rank of major and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for his excellent service overseas. Dr. Brotherton then returned to his native Florida and completed his military service at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida’s panhandle. 

In his pursuit of higher learning, Dr. Brotherton completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Florida. There he further honed his surgical skill and knowledge studying with well-known orthopedic surgeon, Dr. James Andrews while treating professional and community athletes. 

During his training, Dr. Brotherton has treated athletes on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos minor league baseball team, on colleges and university teams such as Auburn University, Tuskegee University, and the University of West Florida, and also on many local high school teams. 

He believes in forward thinking and applies his training and skills gained during his time in the military and fellowship training to help his patients of all ages and at all levels of competition at Orthopedic Specialists.

Dr. Taylor was born in New England, but his family relocated to the Florida panhandle near the end of his childhood.  He later attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, after being awarded a highly competitive scholarship granting early acceptance into medical school. He graduated cum laude and stayed at the University of South Alabama to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery. In furthering his education, he completed a one-year residency in complex foot and ankle surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Dr. Taylor learned new techniques and also shared his training with others by giving lectures and writing research papers, book chapters, and medical articles focusing on lower extremity care and treatment. 

During residency, he studied general orthopedics focusing on general trauma including fractures of the hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. He also studied arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, and how to care for common orthopedic problems in the spine, pelvis, and upper and lower extremities.  

While at Campbell Clinic, Dr. Taylor honed his skills further in sports medicine, joint replacement, deformity correction, and ligament reconstruction for lower extremities. He also trained in arthroscopic surgery, cartilage regenerative procedures, minimally invasive surgery, and fracture care. 

With his knowledge in both surgical and nonsurgical treatments, Dr. Taylor provides patients with many alternatives to returning to their normal lives.

Ashley Perenich is a highly skilled Physician Assistant at the Spine Institute of Florida, where she works closely with Dr. Nicholas Perenich and the rest of the surgical team to provide exceptional care to patients. Ashley earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine and has since specialized in orthopedics and spine surgery.

Jeffrey A. Silverstein, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and hip and knee reconstruction specialist at 360 Orthopedics in Sarasota, Venice, and Lakewood Ranch, Florida. He specializes in general orthopedics and joint replacement. 

Dr. Silverstein earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Indiana University. He then attended medical school at West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Illinois/Chicago Medical Center, followed by a hip and knee reconstruction fellowship at Florida Orthopedic Institute. 

As an advocate for improving the quality of life for his patients, Dr. Silverstein believes that open communication between physicians and patients is key to successful outcomes. Dr. Page earned his Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from Miami University in Florida. He completed his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio, where he was also named valedictorian. He then completed his orthopedic residency at the University of South Carolina, followed by an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the renowned UHZ Sports Medicine Institute at the University of Miami.

During his Fellowship, Dr. Page was the team physician for numerous athletes from the Miami Hurricanes, Miami Dolphins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by a foot and ankle surgery/lower extremity trauma fellowship at Florida Orthopaedic Institute.

Dr. Clare specializes in foot and ankle surgery and lower extremity trauma/reconstruction, including ankle replacement. He served as Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery from 2002-2005. In 2005 he returned to Tampa to join the Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI) where he practiced and served as Director of Fellowship Education, and later Fellowship Director for the FOI Foot and Ankle Fellowship until December 2018. 

He returned to his hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska in January 2019, and worked for Nebraska Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, before returning to Florida to join 360 Orthopedics.
