Brandon A. Ortega, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who provides comprehensive and personalized spinal care to adults in Torrance and Long Beach, California. Dr. Ortega received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. He stayed at USC to complete his orthopedic surgery residency, where he served as chief resident.
He pursued specialized training in spine surgery, completing a fellowship at the prestigious University of California, Davis. During his fellowship training, he learned traditional, minimally invasive, and image-guided techniques for treating complex adult and pediatric spinal deformities.
Dr. Ortega specializes in diagnosing and treating all cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), and lumbar (lower back) conditions. His areas of interest include motion-preserving and minimally invasive surgery and using advanced technologies like navigation, robotics, and endoscopy to improve patient safety and outcomes.
He has published many peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters and presented his research at national and international medical conferences.
Taking a compassionate and patient-centered approach, Dr. Ortega believes in treating each patient as a person and tailoring treatment to meet their specific needs and goals.

Dr. Eidt is a specialist and expert in caring for patients with sports injuries including complex shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle problems. His expertise is in the arthroscopic management of sports injuries. Dr. Eidt is double board certified in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine as well as General Orthopaedic Surgery. He attended the military medical school, Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, where he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). His undergraduate degree in economics with a chemistry minor, was completed at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. As a result of 16 years of service in the U.S. Army Dr. Eidt has an extensive practice caring for both pediatric and adult patients with complex traumatic injuries.
Dr. Eidt was deployed several times through his Army career. Notably he spent a year on the 38th parallel at the DMZ in South Korea. He was deployed in combat and assigned to the 173rd Airborne Division at a forward operating base with the 2nd FST (a forward surgical team) in Afghanistan, as well as assignments to hospitals in Kandahar and Bagram. Because of his excellent care of both military and civilian casualties under combat conditions in Afghanistan, Dr. Eidt was awarded the Bronze Star.
Dr. Eidt is the orthopaedic consultant and team physician for St. Margaret's Episcopal School's lacrosse and football teams. He has supported Trabuco Hills High School and JSerra Catholic School as their team physician. He was a faculty member for the U.S Army’s primary care sports medicine fellowship. He has also been team physician for the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry Division wrestling tournaments as well as many other local and regional sports competitions. Dr. Eidt came with his family to Southern California and began his practice in Mission Viejo after a 16 year Army career.

Dr. Samuel W. Park is a board-certified orthpaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee arthroplasty. Dr. Park is a Harvard Fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, and the first surgeon on the West Coast to utilize robotic technology for knee arthroplasties. The combination of Dr. Park's extensive surgical experience and innovative robotic resources ensures a higher recovery rate while minimizing post-operative infection reports. Dr. Park also serves as the Medical Director of the Joint Replacement Department at Providence Mission Hospital. Given his in-depth clinical knowledge and extensive surgical experience with robotic technology, he serves as a mentor to orthopaedic surgeons who wish to learn more about the use of robotics. Berkay Unal, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery with an emphasis on shoulder and knee disorders, sports injuries, and arthritis. He treats patients at Samimi Orthopedic Group at its Los Angeles area offices in Brentwood, West Covina, and Sherman Oaks, California.
Dr. Unal completed his undergraduate studies at The University of California, Berkeley, earning his bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology. Following his undergraduate studies, he held a research position at The University of California, Irvine, where he was involved in multiple
publications in molecular biology and infectious disease.
Dr. Unal realized his true passion was medicine and direct patient care. He attended medical school at The University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, receiving his medical degree in 2011. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Dr. Unal did an additional year of subspecialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at The University of Kentucky's Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship in Lexington.
Dr. Unal started his practice in Bakersfield, California, treating high-complexity injuries. He brings his experience and expertise to the Samimi Orthopaedic Group team.
