Douglas Navasartian, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Orthocenter, which has locations in Red Bank, Morganville, Eatontown, and Holmdel, New Jersey. He has completed subspecialty fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine.
Dr. Navasartian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general biology and a Master of Science degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Navasartian then completed medical school at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. Following medical school, he completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, one of the oldest residency programs in the state. Through his residency, he spent time training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as UMDNJ Newark. This allowed him to obtain well-rounded training in numerous aspects of orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Navasartian then went on to complete subspecialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. During his fellowship, he was trained by one of the pioneers and founders of modern shoulder arthroscopy, Dr. Stephen Burkhart, MD. Dr. Burkhart invented many of the tools and techniques used in shoulder arthroscopy, and Dr. Navasartian is proud to have had him as a mentor. Because of his training with Dr. Burkhart, Dr. Navasartian is very well-versed in treating some of the most complex shoulder problems using arthroscopic techniques.
Additionally, Dr. Navasartian is trained in complex knee surgery, including arthroscopic and open techniques. Dr. Navasartian is also a published author, with some of his published literature describing techniques in shoulder and knee arthroscopy. Dr. Larry Bloomstein received his Medical Degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Following graduation Dr. Bloomstein completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. During residency Dr. Bloomstein’s training included Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Orthopaedic Trauma at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.
Following Residency, Dr. Bloomstein completed his first Fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at the University of Tennessee Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. During his Fellowship, Dr. Bloomstein was part of a relief mission to help the earthquake victims in Haiti in 2010. In a five-day period, the team of eight orthopaedic surgeons operated on over fifty patients who survived the earthquake. The surgical team was able to perform numerous surgeries to restore the patients to an independent level of functioning.
Dr. Bloomstein completed a second Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the specialty of Foot & Ankle. He shadowed several pioneers in Total Ankle Replacement and other joint sparing surgeries in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Qasim M. Husain is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at the Orthocenter. He received advanced training in the surgical and non-surgical management of the entire range of spinal disorders from degenerative conditions to complex spinal deformity. Dr. Husain has also undergone training in minimally invasive techniques, such as 'micro' surgery and percutaneous instrumentation, to address a variety of spinal disorders.
Dr. Husain received his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from Cornell University and went to the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University for his medical education. There he graduated with an M.D. degree with Recognition in Research and stayed on-board to complete his Surgical Internship as well as his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. As a junior resident he received the "Outstanding Resident" of the year award and was appointed as the Chief Administrative Resident in his final year.
Following residency, Dr. Husain was accepted to the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases to complete his Fellowship training in Spine Surgery. Dr. Deutsch has specialized in spine surgery for more than 25 years. After attending the University of New York at Albany, he earned his medical degree from Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, New York. Conor Dunn, MD, is a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon at Coastal Spine, with offices in Mount Laurel, Sewell, Galloway, Wall Township, and Vineland New Jersey. After attending the prestigious Regis High School in New York City he earned his bachelor’s degree at The College of New Jersey. Dr. Dunn remained in New Jersey for his medical degree at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson. Finally, he completed a fellowship in spine surgery at The Texas Back Institute, in Plano, Texas. Dr. Dunn treats the neck and spine and focuses on a conservative first approach, recommending surgical intervention only when absolutely necessary. When surgery is warranted, Dr. Dunn prefers minimally-invasive techniques and motion sparing solutions such as disc replacement over fusion. Dr. Testaiuti earned his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating, he completed his residency in neurological surgery at the Albert Einstein Medical College - Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, New York City, where he was chief resident. Following this In-Residency Fellowship, Dr. Testaiuti joined the Cooper Health System’s Neurosurgery division at Robert Wood University Hospital, now operated by Rutgers Health, and became an assistant professor of Neurosurgery. Dr. Atlas is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and focuses exclusively on spinal care. He is actively involved in medical research and has co-authored multiple publications. He is a member of The North American Spine Society, The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and sits on the board of directors for The New Jersey State Spine Society. Dr. Atlas is affiliated with Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey, Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, and Millennium Surgical Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
John P. Nolan, Jr., MD, is board-certified in both orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He is one of the founders of Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics, with offices in Hamilton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Nolan grew up in Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania, and attended La Salle University. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he earned an appointment as a clinical instructor and completed additional post-residency training in sports medicine at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Nolan was appointed clinical instructor at the orthopaedic division of Laser Centers of America, where he developed laser instruments for use in arthroscopy.
He has served on the medical executive committee of Capital Health (2002), the Board of Directors at Mercer County Surgical Center (2001-2012), and was the founding director of Orthopaedic Trauma at St. Mary Medical Center from 2012-2016.
Dr. Nolan was one of the first surgeons in the Mercer Bucks area to perform outpatient total hip and knee replacements, as well as the use of computer navigation and robotic-assisted joint replacements.
He currently serves on the medical advisory board of the Wellness Center at RWJ Hamilton.

Fredric Kleinbart, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon working closely with patients at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics, with offices in Hamilton, Lawrenceville, and Princeton, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
He was the former director of sports medicine and was an active member at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine.
He has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine, and for the last five years, he has been an associate master instructor of arthroscopy at the Orthopaedic Learning Center, which allows him to teach arthroscopies nationally.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Dr. Kleinbart completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Kingsbrook Jewish- Beth Israel Medical Centers and his sports medicine fellowship at Temple University Hospital.
Dr. Kleinbart’s USA Olympic experience includes serving as the orthopaedic surgeon at the San Diego Olympic training center, as a ringside physician for USA Boxing, and a ringside physician for the Olympic boxing trials.
He was the head orthopaedic surgeon and co-team physician for Drexel University. He was also the orthopaedic consultant for the American Repertory Ballet and the Princeton Ballet School and has a long history as a team physician for various collegiate and high school teams.
Dr. Kleinbart has been instrumental in creating specialty sports clinics, including the Arts Medicine Center, the Women’s Sports Medicine Center, and the Pediatric Sports Medicine clinics at Hahnemann University Hospital and the Drexel University College of Medicine.
Dr. Kleinbart established the Hahnemann University Hospital and Drexel Sports Medicine Arthroscopy lab and is an associate master instructor for various national arthroscopy courses. Currently, he is the Medical Director at Mercer County Surgery Center.
He frequently lectures on such varied topics as “The Weekend Warrior,” “The Female Athlete," and “Common Orthopaedic Injuries”. He has a special interest in shoulder and knee reconstruction and the Female Triad.
Frank Colarusso, DO, is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics in Hamilton, Lawrenceville, and Princeton, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Colarusso maintains double-board certification, having recently recertified with both the American Medical Association, the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and the American Osteopathic Association. With an attention to detail and passion for continuing education, Dr. Colarusso is proud to provide comprehensive non-operative musculoskeletal, spine, and sports medicine.

After receiving honors at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, Dr. Colarusso remained in Pennsylvania to intern at St. Barnabas Health Care System. He later was the chief resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Boston University Medical Center in Massachusetts.
