Michael Jadali, DO, RPh, FAAPMR, is a skilled pain management specialist at the Center for Pain & Rehabilitation Medicine in San Jose, California. Dr. Jadali has been at the forefront of minimally invasive pain management for several years.
Dr. Jadali is a doctor of osteopathic medicine and graduated from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his residency at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, in association with the University of Maryland Medical System, which runs an ACGME-accredited residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). He was awarded the position of chief resident.
During his residency, Dr. Jadali organized one of the largest gatherings of internationally renowned PM&R and anesthesia pain management specialists on the East Coast and received the American Pain Society’s national scholarship award three times. His additional training at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, along with his fellowship training in integrated medicine as part of the American Anti-Aging Medicine Fellowship program, has gained him a unique perspective in the art of pain management and function restoration medicine.
Prior to medical school, residency, and fellowship training, Dr. Jadali earned a degree in pharmacy. He subsequently became a registered pharmacist. Using his experience as a pharmacist, Dr. Jadali has an additional edge to manage his patients’ medications more effectively and with less systemic side effects.
Because of his extensive experience in pharmacology, several of the nation’s leading pharmaceutical companies have chosen Dr. Jadali to be their science liaison to educate other physicians on the proper use of pain medications.
Currently, Dr. Jadali is an occasional investigator in post-marketing studies of certain new pain medications and is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Jadali has also been recognized as one of the Bay Area’s Top Doctors for three consecutive years.

Richard Bernstein, D.O., brings his extensive experience as an osteopathic physician to Santa Cruz Osteopathic in Capitola, California. He has been deeply committed and involved in the healthcare field for over 30 years.
He started his career as a massage therapist, yoga instructor, and a Holistic Health Educator and Consultant. After suffering severe injuries from a cycling accident in 1979, he came under the care of an osteopathic physician who helped him heal from his injuries and introduced him to the field of Osteopathic Medicine.
Upon completing medical school, Dr. Bernstein specialized in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In 1995, Dr. Bernstein partnered with Watsonville Hospital to create the Wellness and Rehabilitation Center, the first hospital-based Complementary Alternative Medicine Clinic on the Central Coast of California.
