In 2013, she was accepted into a 1-year fellowship at Louisiana State University where she received training restoring single and multiple dental implants with the newest techniques. Dr. Smith came to the United States in 2012 after marrying her husband; she is originally from San Jose, Costa Rica. She and her husband made New Orleans their home and have been building their family for the last ten years. They have three children together; Oliver, Emme and Julian to whom they dedicate most of their time. They enjoy traveling as a family and sharing time with loved ones. During vacation time you can find them enjoying the warm weather in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
