Gary Feldman, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified foot and ankle podiatrist practicing at The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics: Maryland Orthopedic Specialists Division, which has locations in Bethesda, Rockville, and Germantown, Maryland.
Originally from Potomac, Maryland, Dr. Feldman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in 1990. He then attended the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. Following completion in 1995, Dr. Feldman received advanced surgical training at St. Agnes Medical Center in Philadelphia. After two years of residency, Dr. Feldman became proficient in multiple areas of foot and ankle care, including pediatric disorders, diabetic limb salvage, and also foot and ankle reconstruction. Dr. Feldman has become increasingly interested in sports medicine in recent years. He has worked as a team physician for a local high school football team and is currently a part-time editor for the popular medical journal, The Physician and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Feldman has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and books, including The Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Pediatric Foot and Ankle Surgery, and The American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine Review Text. He also participates in several residency training programs, including working with residents through the Washington Hospital Center.
Dr. Feldman is active in The Bear Hug Foundation, a nonprofit which offers aid to developing nations in Central America. He traveled with The Bear Hug Foundation to El Salvador, where they provided medical treatment to individuals who otherwise do not have access to health care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Feldman is an avid athlete; he enjoys golfing, running, basketball and cycling. He is married and has two children.
