Aamir Ahmed, DPM, is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible foot and ankle surgeon with extensive training in reconstructive surgery. He currently sees patients at Ankle & Foot Doctors of New Jersey in Millburn, Westfield, and Union, New Jersey.

Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine after graduating cum laude with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He completed his three-year surgical residency at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey, where he gained surgical experience in adult foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, arthritic joints, Achilles tendon reconstruction, arthroscopy, Charcot neuroarthropathy, and diabetic limb salvage, with advanced training techniques in wound care.

The following year, Dr. Ahmed went on to complete a pediatric foot and ankle fellowship at The Pediatric Orthopedic Center in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, under the mentorships of Dr. Mark Solomon and Dr. Mark Rieger. There, he gained experience treating children with foot and ankle congenital deformities, sprains, fractures, growth plate injuries, as well as sports and dance injuries. Matthew F. Wachtler, DPM, FACFAS, is a skilled podiatrist at Cedar Grove Foot & Ankle Specialists. He provides comprehensive foot and ankle care to patients in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Dr. Wachtler graduated from Rowan University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. 

After completing his medical education, Dr. Wachtler was trained in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Morristown Medical Center of the Atlantic Health System. During his residency, he was elected chief resident and was extensively trained in both clinical and surgical complex foot and ankle pathologies. He specializes in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, wound care, runners’ pathologies, diabetic foot care, and all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. Lisa Shah, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric surgeon at Aesthetic Podiatry & Sports Medicine Center in White Plains and Purchase, New York. 

Dr. Shah attended Syracuse University for her undergraduate education. After graduating with her degree, she went on to complete her doctorate in podiatric medicine at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her post-graduate training through a dual-residency program in podiatric medicine and surgery at Cabrini Medical Center. 

During her final year of residency, Dr. Shah was a chief surgical resident. She had extensive training in all aspects of podiatry. 

While serving patients at Aesthetic Podiatry & Sports Medicine Center, she is currently on staff at Gramercy Surgery Center and Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Rivera completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez and earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her postgraduate surgical training at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, a major academic medical center and Level I trauma center, where she gained extensive experience in medicine, trauma, and foot and ankle surgery.
