Dr. Mahsa Agha Jafari is a foot and ankle surgeon, board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. As a fellow member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and national speaker and peer educator, Dr. McAlister is passionate about technological advances in the foot and ankle field, specifically in educating patients on the advantages of primary and revision total ankle arthroplasty.

Kate Kennedy, DPM, is a podiatrist at Foot + Ankle Specialty Centers, with offices in Gilbert, Scottsdale, Chandler, and Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Kennedy grew up in a small suburban community outside of Portland, Oregon, where she developed a healthy respect for excellence as an avid horse competitor. This need to perform at the highest level would later influence for medical career as a podiatrist.
Dr. Kennedy won a national championship as an equestrian and later became a horse trainer, while also earning two bachelor degrees at Portland State University in biology and psychology. She received her doctor of podiatric medicine degree at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Health Science.
Dr. Kennedy then moved to Chicago to continue her clinical studies with a residency program that included both forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction training. Despite her rigorous studies, Dr. Kennedy also found time to publish three medical articles, including one about crusted scabies in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
When she isn’t helping her patients at Foot + Ankle Specialty Centers, Dr. Kennedy enjoys hiking, biking, golfing, and riding horses.
Dr. Mahsa Agha Jafari is a foot and ankle surgeon, board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She specializes in lower extremity pathology including heel pain, arthritis, gout, tendinitis, neuroma, cyst, athlete’s foot, plantar wart, ingrown toenail, nail dystrophy; trauma including fracture, ankle sprain, and tendon ruptures; wound care and diabetic foot care; sports medicine, ankle instability, bunion deformities, biomechanics, and orthotic casting; providing conservative and elective and non-elective surgical treatment.
Dr. Agha Jafari completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Arizona State University. She obtained her medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona where she graduated with Pi Delta Honor. She completed her surgical training at Valley Wise Medical Center/Creighton University in Phoenix, Arizona. During her surgical training, she served as the administrative chief resident of the podiatric surgery department at a level one trauma center with training focused in Forefoot and Rearfoot Reconstruction and Ankle Surgery; and specialized training inclusive of Arizona Burn Center, and General surgery internship.
In her free time, Dr. Agha Jafari enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys cooking and baking, especially her native food of Persian cuisine. She is also fluent in Farsi.
Dr. Agha Jafari’s goal is to provide exceptional patient care while considering both conservative and surgical options. She is a strong advocate for providing educational information for the prevention of foot and ankle pathology as well. She believes in treating each patient with respect while meeting their needs on an individualized basis.
Dr. Safar was born and raised in Houston, TX. After attending college at The University of Texas at Austin, he received his medical education from Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. Dr. Safar attended Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ for his reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency training emphasizing in limb salvage and wound care. It was during his residency where Dr. Safar became experienced in all of the conservative and surgical scopes of Podiatry. Dr. Safar is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Safar’s passion for medicine began at a very early age when all he wanted to do was help those in need. He constantly volunteered at hospitals and shelters growing up and was part of Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) during high school. While in college, Dr. Safar was published in a research article at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX which further motivated him into pursuing his interest in medicine.
Most people are nervous when seeing the Doctor, but Dr. Safar makes the setting as comfortable and relaxing as possible to ensure every patient is at ease. It is in his nature to treat patients as if they were his own family. Dr. Safar believes in putting all of his efforts into making sure everyone is treated medically and respectfully with care.
Dr. Safar enjoys spending quality time with his family. He loves food, sports, traveling, movies, technology, and has a passion for cars.

Dr. Amelia Harris, DPM, is a podiatry specialist at Foot + Ankle Specialty Centers with offices in Gilbert, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa and Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Harris possesses special interest in the mechanics of movement and the key role the foot and ankle play in mobility. Dr. Harris practices integrative medicine and has expertise in diabetic foot and wound care.
Dr. Harris is a native to Arizona and has a background in science, fine art and athletics that led to her career as a foot and ankle specialist. After completing her dual bachelor degrees at the University of Missouri, Columbia, Dr. Harris was granted acceptance with scholarship to Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. It was there that she completed her doctorate degree of podiatric medicine with additional masters in health care administration.
Dr. Harris then went on to continue excellence in podiatric medicine by completing a three year forefoot and rearfoot surgical residency at the Carl T. Hayden Veteran's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
Outside of dedicating her time to healthy feet, she enjoys the great outdoors with her family and friends.
