Mina Beshai, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and surgeon at Forward Foot & Ankle Associates in Staten Island, New York. Dr. Beshai is committed to providing professional and patient-centered foot and ankle care for patients at every age.
Dr. Beshai was raised in Staten Island, and he completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology, minoring in chemistry, within three years at the College of Staten Island. He relocated to Harlem to obtain his doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and the Foot Center of New York.
He received extensive training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. After completing the program, he maintained a relationship with the clinic and is currently providing podiatric care for their pediatric department.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Beshai enjoys walking with his two huskies and teaching them new skills. He also loves cruising on his motorcycle.

Emanoil Shafik DPM is a podiatric physician and foot and ankle surgeon specializing in comprehensive foot and ankle care.He is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care with an emphasis on restoring function, relieving pain, and improving quality of life. Dr. Shafik earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed an intensive three-year surgical residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with added credentialing in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA) at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. During residency, he received extensive training in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, trauma, sports medicine, elective forefoot surgery, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He also worked alongside specialists in vascular surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine, providing multidisciplinary care for complex lower extremity conditions.
In addition to his surgical training, Dr. Shafik has pursued graduate education in healthcare administration and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA), strengthening his understanding of healthcare leadership, quality improvement, and patient-centered systems of care. Dr. Shafik remains dedicated to lifelong learning and staying current with advances in foot and ankle surgery through continuing medical education and professional development. He is passionate about incorporating modern surgical techniques and evidence-based practices to optimize patient recovery and long-term outcomes.

Dr. Aarti Kumar is a New York native and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University. She then went on to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine to obtain her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. She completed her surgical residency training at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, NY. She served as chief resident during her last year of training.
She is board certified in podiatric medicine and board qualified in foot surgery. Dr. Kumar focuses on patient’s needs and provides comprehensive foot and ankle care. Her training allows her to manage patients both with conservative and surgical treatment options. She has surgical privileges at Northwell Huntington and Plainview hospitals.
