Dr. Kyle Yi is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon who specializes in trauma and reconstructive surgery. He is proud to serve patients at Foot & Ankle Premier Specialists, with locations in Hoboken, Jersey City, Bayonne, Ridgefield & Bloomfield, NJ.
He graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and continued his education at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM).
Dr. Yi then began his surgical training at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He was selected to serve as Chief Resident during his final year and graduated with credentials from the Council of Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) to perform reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He holds a certification in extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) for noninvasive treatment of soft tissue injuries. Additionally, Dr. Spielfogel maintains professional memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Spielfogel serves as the chief of podiatry in the department of orthopaedic surgery, as well as the director of the podiatric medicine and surgery residency program, at Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. He is even the vice president of The Foundation for Podiatric Medicine, an educational, scientific, and research branch of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Spielfogel also co-chairs the New York State Podiatric Medical Association’s clinical conference in New York City. This conference provides continuing foot and ankle medical education to over 1,000 podiatrists annually.
Being affiliated with both Lenox Hill Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center give Dr. Spielfogel the opportunity to provide care for patients in some of New York City’s most technologically advanced hospitals.
