Because he combines his Knowledge, Expertise, Compassion, and Concern, with his Holistic-Awareness of the Health of his patients to treat them. Earning Dr. Kolansky the accolade: Doctor Par Excellence! For example, this acknowledgement was exemplified twice today. First, by his expert effectiveness and efficiency in surgically and successfully treating my eye lid and adjacent area. Second, upon my entering the first examination room, Dr. Kolansky while talking to his medical assistant, glanced quickly from down the hall, he immediately stopped and did a double take, then turned around and walked to me – – – and with Sincere Concern and Interest in his voice, said: "How was your Right Leg Injured?" I was Stunned! Because, with the hundreds of patients Dr. Kolansky treated, during the multi-month interlude since he treated me, that he had the recall-ability to notice "Something That": • I had forgotten about; • I no longer felt; • Did not affect my gate; • Was not noticed by my friends, with whom I meet frequently, and had met that morning. • Happened to my leg --which he never treated. • Consequently, it was never in my chart. No one noticed the "'imperceptible effect' of a very minor and temporary injury", including myself; but Dr. Kolansky noticed – – – And that is because Dr. Kolansky CARES !

I was recommended to visit Dr Kolansky from my primary physician because my Father had melanoma. The doctor performed a thor... Read more I was recommended to visit Dr Kolansky from my primary physician because my Father had melanoma. Because it was my first visit, there was some paperwork to fill out as well as provide my insurance info. The doctor performed a thorough examination of my whole body and explained to me what he saw which were cherry angioma (red spots) and SKs which are both non-cancerous skin growths that are harmless. However, It was recommended, that I visit Dr Kolansky at least yearly to monitor any skin issues that may arise. I was very satisfied. The staff as well as Dr Kolansky were very personable and professional.

About Advanced Dermatology Surgery & Laser Center

Glenn Kolansky, MD, FAAD, is the board-certified dermatologist at Advanced Dermatology Surgery & Laser Center in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. The fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon has a passion for excellence in dermatology and helping his patients enjoy healthy, beautiful skin.

After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Kolansky went on to earn his medical degree at the State University of New York Health Science Center, also in Brooklyn. He then did his internship in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City before completing his dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. To further enhance his skills, Dr. Kolansky completed a two-year fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City in Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic surgery, laser surgery, and reconstruction. 

Dr. Kolansky is a Diplomate of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is board-certified in dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Kolansky is also a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. 

Dedicated to his profession, Dr. Kolansky has conducted and published numerous research papers within the field of dermatology. In recognition of his dedication and leadership, he has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the NJ Top Doctor Award every year since 2013, and the 2018 Doctors’ Choice Awards Top 100, which is based on reviews by other doctors. Dr. Kolansky is licensed not only in New Jersey, but also in New York and California.

When he’s not helping improve his patients’ skin health, Dr. Kolansky volunteers for the American Cancer Society providing lectures and skin cancer screenings. Recognized for his commitment to skin cancer care, he was awarded the prestigious Physician of Hope Award by the American Cancer Society.
