At BREAKTHROUGH REGENERATIVE ORTHOPEDICS, everything is different. From inception to opening, we have been intentional about creating a warm environment that encourages your recovery. Gone is the sterility and rush of the typical medical clinic. In its place we have built a light-filled healing space that is epitomized by the first picture we placed on the wall- that of the sun rising over the Front Range, viewed from the Flatirons of Boulder.
The sunrise epitomizes what we aim to provide for each of our clients- the hope that rises afresh with a new day dawning and the opportunity for HEALING and RESTORATION.
We have a PASSION for "getting it right" and "getting you back to your BEST SELF"! We work hard to get to the root of your problem. We believe YOU should be at the CENTER of your health care team and thus we work with like-minded professionals who share those values.
We'll be straightforward with you. INTEGRITY is one of our core values. We treat you how we'd want one of our own FAMILY to be treated- with COMPASSIONATE CARE and EXCELLENCE.
We take an hour with each new patient to ensure we have the time it takes to hear your story, perform a complete physical exam, review relevant imaging, and likely perform a precise diagnostic ultrasound in order to make an accurate diagnosis. We try our best to answer the many questions that come up. If we can't unravel the picture in that first hour, we'll see you back in an effort to get as accurate a diagnosis as possible and get remaining questions answered. If we don't think we're the right doctors for your situation, we'll be honest and recommend the best place for you.
If needed, we may recommend a precision ultrasound-guided diagnostic injection to confirm the diagnosis. We may order more imaging or laboratory studies. We provide recommended supplements that can assist in the healing process, and consultations to vetted affiliated providers with specializations across the spectrum of physical therapy, orthotics and bodywork.
We will strive to arrive at an accurate diagnosis or diagnoses. Only after making an accurate diagnosis can one come up with a sound and rational treatment plan. With that, we have many and various treatment options that we can offer with the ever-present goal of helping you attain the stability, strength and function needed to maintain or re-gain your active lifestyle.

Dr Mazolla is very thorough in both identifying the problem and treating it. He and his team take extra time to diagnose the issue and listen openly to patient input. I have seen him for both knee and back problems and received BMAC, MFAT, and Prolotherapy treatments. His treatment approach has been novel for me and I am very satisfied with both outcomes and attentiveness provided. I highly recommend him and his team.

Dr. Mazzola is one of those rare doctors who listens to your description of symptoms but then knows to look at places you would never have guessed for yourself to find solutions. His diagnostic and treatment tools are perfectly suited to his personal skills.

Dr. O'Donnell was amazing! He completed a thorough hands-on evaluation along with the use of ultrasound imaging to further identify the source/s of my pain. He included my husband's (CMOT PT) clinical input during the evaluation, as to what has and hasn’t helped with previous therapy/intervention. I am confident with the course of treatment Dr. O’Donnell determined would be best for my condition. He has an excellent bedside manner and showed that he truly cares about helping his patients achieve their goals.

Dr. Mazzola and staff are an elite-level diagnostic and treatment team. They resolved a chronic soleous issue that had prevented me from running for three years. Now I’m doing marathons again. This team is relationship oriented and really cares about helping its patients.
Dr. Kevin O’Donnell interacts with a perfect blend of professionalism, expertise, willingness to educate, empathy, and compassion. PRP injections typically cause soreness as the body is healing and rebuilding. So having a provider with these qualities is very helpful. Dr. Mazzola and his staff are fantastic. They explain everything they’re doing and are very attentive to your needs.
Dr. Mazzola and his team are absolutely incredible! From the moment I walked into their office, I was greeted with warmth. Dr. Mazzola took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and explain all of my treatment options in a way that I could understand. He truly listened to my concerns and addressed them all with compassion and expertise. His knowledge and experience in the field are evident throughout every step of the process. Not only is Dr. Mazzola exceptional, but his entire team is as well. This is a long journey for me. The support staff is friendly, efficient, and always willing to assist. I was in so much pain the last time I had an appointment that everyone was going to stay a little bit late since I was the last appointment to give me some relief. They made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout my visits. The level of care and attention I received from everyone involved is outstanding.

Dr. Mazzola is thoughful, patient, and very experienced. I've had 3 surgeries on my right knee over the years. Needless to say its seen better days. Before seeing Dr. Mazzola I was having a hard time improving my knee's condition. I was constantly fighting surgery and arthritis induced inflammation. Dr. Mazzola's office has performed several non-surgical treatments which have helped me drastically reduce the inflammation(and pain) problem. And that has enabled me to continue working on my knee to strengthen and improve mobility. Its made a huge difference in my life all around.
