Board-certified in both family medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Garcia provides expert care to the families in and around El Paso, Texas. His sports medicine expertise also saves many patients from making multiple trips to other physicians, as Dr. Garcia can treat several injuries without resorting to surgery. Dr. Garcia graduated from Baylor University and then received his MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His next step was a residency in family medicine at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine-Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, where he became Chief Resident of the Department of Family and Community Medicine. He followed this with a fellowship in sports medicine at the same institution.
In practice for 10 years, Dr. Garcia is affiliated with the Hospitals of Providence East Campus. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Medicine.
A proud Texan, Dr. Garcia loves giving back to his community. He has sponsored multiple events in the community including marathons, high school events, community college events, golf tournaments, and more.
