I have felt very listened to and very safe in his care- not to even mention that I was in pain and distress when I arrived and he quickly sorted out a complex medical situation and put me on the right medicine, and without ordering a bunch of unnecessary invasive tests, which many GI docs would have done. Dr Shapiro is practicing the true art of medicine. Highly, highly recommend.

He is very thorough and explains everything in terms that you can understand. He is not like the other docs that want to get you in and out and on to the next patient like herding cattle for vaccines, no he spends the time with his patients listening to them and asking questions. He really knows the GI world and he is a person that you feel comfortable talking with about things you normally wouldn't talk about.
