He thoroughly explained the process necessary to receive a Spine Neuro-Stimulation or a Pain Pump device, the difference between them in long-term usage, and their ongoing upkeep. He answered all of my questions about the trial and the permanent implantation of both devices and how they were removed, if necessary. He made sure I was comfortable with and understood the information he had provided. Afterwards, a staff member came in with an Order for a Behavioral Health (Psych) Evaluation Referral (which is mandatory to have either of these devices installed). I felt that everyone from the front desk staff members, the nurses, to Dr. Desai were all professional, pleasant and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking Pain Management treatment, and specifically the installation of a long-term treatment with either a Spinal Stimulation device or a Pain Pump to treat intractable nerve pain.

I had to have the ligaments in my thumb completely repaired with a cage and some screws. I was able to get an appointment to see Dr. Kapteyn two weeks after surgery. He is very understanding, caring and he listens. I feel like he genuinely cares about his patients and that is very hard to find in a doctor these days. Dr.Kapteyn explains everything thoroughly and has great bedside manner. If I could rate him 1 million stars I would! Dr. Kapteyn is a wonderful Doctor and I will continue to see him for any pain issues that I have..
