In all cases from knee replacement surgery to a rather difficult fall and recovery, he has offered good advice with a touch of humor and insights to consider about living a life where we GIVE to others in our community; he does this in his own life! I have noticed that his interests in so many aspects of life in and around Santa Barbara has opened doors to his practice for a wide range of patients who benefit from his skills as a surgeon and someone with well considered insights about living a healthy life. He is “with you” when you are his patient, and you feel comforted with the knowledge that he really cares about you!

He let me know what proc... Read more After having his x-ray technician take x-rays of two joints in which I experience pain, Dr. Gallivan took the time to listen to my concerns. Then he performed a series of non-invasive tests of my strength. He let me know what procedures he could do depending upon any future incapacity or any increasing pain on my part. One of his assistants took the time to wrote up a memorandum of the visit and give me a printed copy, which is a great help because I am getting older and my memory is beginning to slip. He and his staff have always been wonderful to me. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs the kind of care that he provides.
