Pain Care Providers is a leading provider of pain management solutions for patients in throughout Orange County and Southern California. Located in Irvine, CA, and founded by Drs. Amir Rafizad and Reza Mahrou, the practice specializes in patient-centered care aimed at providing long-term relief of acute and chronic pain. Featuring the most advanced equipment and technology, Pain Care Providers helps patients find relief from all types of pain, including neck pain, back and spine pain, neuropathy, sciatica, herniated discs, and spinal stenosis using noninvasive pain management techniques to correct underlying issues that cause or contribute to pain.
Pain Care Providers specializes in conservative pain management options and minimally-invasive interventional treatments to provide each patient with the broadest array of choices and to ensure the safest, most effective, and most appropriate care based on each person’s needs and preferences.
Both Dr. Mahrou and Dr. Rafizad are dual board-certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology and have completed accredited ACGME fellowships in pain management. The practice accepts most major medical insurance plans. New patients are always welcome.

This is s very efficient office, and Dr Mahrou offers treatments to chose from, so he can help you with the best plan for you. If you have a procedure done in the surgery center, they always call the next day to followup. I definitely recommend this practice.
Doctor Mahrou is the best doctor I have ever had, and there have been a few! He genuinely cares about his patients More than I have ever seen in any other doctor. Dr. Rafizad is one of the most compassionate doctors I’ve ever met—and not only have I required the assistance of several doctors for numerous illnesses/ surgeries( Hey! I’ll turn 77 yrs. next month!) but I also taught and practiced nursing for 45 years.Dr. Amir Rafizad is always professional - it is obvious by his actions that patient safety and pain relief are his priorities. He individualizes care because he possesses the qualities to do so-vast knowledge that is current, a good listener who truly takes the time to hear what a patient is really saying, and the skills needed to accomplish the task at hand. I have always trusted Dr. Rafizad and his team to effectively and efficiently manage my care.
