Led by Nina Thompson, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Three Roots is grounded in the belief that mental health is shaped by the whole person — not symptoms alone. Emotional well-being is influenced by the mind, body, environment, relationships, and daily habits.

The practice offers integrative psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults, including support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, PTSD, and mood concerns. Treatment plans are personalized and thoughtful, blending holistic strategies with evidence-based medication when appropriate. Medication is never viewed as the only solution, but as one of many tools used to support balance, resilience, and long-term well-being.

Nina’s background includes work in high-acuity clinical settings as well as ongoing outpatient psychiatric care. This experience informs a calm, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and continuity of care.

As a mother of three and an active member of her community, Nina brings a personal understanding of how mental health affects individuals and families alike. She partners closely with patients, caregivers, therapists, and primary care providers to support emotional well-being, foster resilience, and enhance the overall health and well-being of the broader community.
