My experience with Dr Hatab is always top notch. However this was the first time I experienced a negative vibe from the receptionist. I feel I was treated poorly for showing up at 12:57 for a 1:15 apt. There were 3 of us in the waShow moreiting room that were advised that we would not be called back until after 1:00. No one asked her to go back earlier so I felt that statement was very inappropriate and actually rude. When I questioned her on it and asked her why she said that when I checked in at 1 she told me I actually signed in at 12:57. The office door was unlocked so i honestly do not know what the problem was.I have never been treated like that by anyone else since i have been going to that office and i hope it never happens again.
I have been seeing Dr. Hatab for a little over 5 years. He has always addressed my concerns and needs. Dr. Hatab is very knowledgeable and empathetic. The office staff is always kind and accommodating. Iliana; one of Dr. Hatab’s MShow moreed assistant is the best. She always takes care of my special medications; always knows how to solve any issues that come about pertaining. Keeps me up to date on any questions, relays my concerns to Dr. Hatab. Iliana is knowledgeable, accountable, very kind and compassionate. I would follow this practice wherever they are. It is the 1st practice I had when I relocated from CT to FL.
Ammar Hatab, MD, is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who has been practicing since 2005. He works with the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates team in Tampa and Brandon, Florida.
Dr. Hatab received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. After graduating, he completed his internal medicine residency and allergy and immunology fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
Before moving to Tampa to join Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates, Dr. Hatab worked in private practice in Southern California and Iowa. His prior experience includes starting a thriving allergy practice, teaching medical students and residents, and participating in more than 20 clinical trials as a principal investigator or sub-investigator.
In addition to delivering state-of-the-art care to patients with allergic rhinitis and asthma, Dr. Hatab has special expertise in treating chronic cough, hives, angioedema (swelling episodes), and immunodeficiency disorders.
His practice philosophy is to treat every patient with skill, care, and compassion. "I always strive to treat my patients as if I were treating members of my own family,” he said.
Dr. Hatab is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (FAAAAI), a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), and other national and international professional organizations.

Dr Hatab is a very caring doctor. He asked very good questions and listened intently to the answers and took copious notes. He provided a sample for me to try for the next two weeks until I have another appointment with him to discuss how my inhaler worked. Then he would like to do further testing. It was very refreshing to find a doctor who took all the time it needed to hear why I had an appointment with him in the first place. I can highly recommend him

I love the doctor, he is kind, he listens to you, and he checks what is harming you. My son and I are undergoing treatment and we recommend him. My allergies have gone down by 90% and I haven't finished the treatment yet.

Dr. Hatab was thoughtful and willing to read pages my husband had written about my asthma issues. He listened to my breathing and asked thoughtful questions about my asthma experience. His calm demeanor and informative suggestions were truly spot on and appreciated.

Dr Khan is the best. I had the late Dr Jose Dominguez after I retired from the US Army in 2013 and he understood my unique toxic exposures condition that many combat Veterans incurred in our Middle East combat deployments. When he passed, Dr Khan stepped in seamlesslessly and I am very fortunate to be under her care.
Dr. Hatab and the entire staff at the Brandon office are wonderful! They are caring and thoughtful. I highly recommend this office!

Excellent experience at this medical practice. I was seen promptly and all procedures were explained to me. Dr Hatab was engaging and friendly. He asked good questions. He explained in detail how aspirin desensitization worked and that I would be required to take aspirin everyday for the rest of my life. We both agreed that it would not be of real benefit and given my age and conditions could be contraindicated. Really appreciated his knowledge and insight and we further discussed alternatives to address my issues.
Dr Hatab is very nice, explained things clearly and exuded a warm, friendly professionalism. His office is easily accessed in a small building with ample covered and uncovered parking. His staff were efficient, pleasant, and communicated clearly.

Had to wait a long time. Nurse did not want to report a mistake or suggest someone who could help. Nurse did not want to report that I was off a medication that I was no longer on.
