Dr. Andrew Foret, MD

Andrew L. Foret, MD, is a board-certified surgeon who joined the team at the Center for Orthopaedics in Lake Charles and Jennings, Louisiana, in 2011. Dr. Foret is known as a compassionate and expert surgeon who carefully walks his patients through each procedure so they know what to expect and ensures they receive the best care possible. 

Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, Dr. Foret earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge and his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a residency in general surgery at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon and a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Foret is board certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and is the only surgeon in Southwest Louisiana to earn the added qualifications of Certification in Surgery of the Hand from the ABS. He has been involved in numerous research projects relating to hand surgery, many of which have been published. Dr. Foret is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
