Utilizing basic psychotherapy, I meet clients at their level of need, helping to set and achieve practical goals for treatment. In most cases, I work with your current therapist to provide medication management but also love to utilize more holistic approaches to care. While medication management is my niche, I also love to work with clients who are open to complimentary therapy. I am a doctorate prepared psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience working in forensics, long term care and both inpatient and outpatient mental healthcare. Treatment areas include severe and persistent mental illnesses (SPMIs), anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders and personality disorders. Humans are complex, so beyond medication management, you can expect to learn more about stress management and coping, nutrition, sleep hygiene, trauma, comorbid disorders and family structure/dynamics.
