It was only my first time meeting with the psychiatrist Dr Varda after having a really awful experience with another psychiatrist who was negligent and repeatedly forgot to refill my medicine. Dr. Varda was very kind and she listened to everything I said, she also offered input and her opinions based on how the medicine I am on can benefit me and what she see's could need to be changed. I am very grateful to now have a responsible psychiatrist who is not only kind but knows what she is doing. :) Read less

I have heard psychiatrist horror stories that made me very nervous to start taking medication. Shakiya has looked out and advocated for me every step of this process. She usually understands my brain better than I can! I instantly felt comfortable talking to Shakiya and actively look forward to getting to check-in with her every month.
