Never have I been disappointed in the quality and credibility of treatment from Dr Crane and his staff. This time was no different. After months of debilitating pain and discomfort in my knee, I was convinced I needed to seek adShow morevice and treatment for this issue . As a caregiver for my husband with advanced Parkinson’s and a post operative failure to heal from hernia surgery over a year ago , surgery was not an option. We are ever grateful for Dr Cranes expertise in regenerative treatment to help me regain function and comfort . It’s been less than a month since treatment and I’m walking better, experiencing minimal pain and feeling hopeful that I will benefit from treatment at Bluetail Medical. He takes his time to let you know every step of the way what is going on in your body and what to expect when he does the procedure and I was pleaShow moresantly surprised that the shot didn’t hurt at all. David Crane, MD is the founder of Bluetail Medical Group, where he practices sports medicine and regenerative orthopedics. He sees patients in Chesterfield, Green Bay, Columbia, and Indianapolis treating the full range of orthopedic conditions. Dr. Crane also specializes in musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic imaging and needle-guided therapies.
A Missouri native, Dr. Crane earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. He then entered a dual fellowship program in emergency medicine and primary care sports medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
After completing his advanced fellowship training, Dr. Crane returned to Missouri, where he was a staff physician at Barnes Jewish Hospital and St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. In 2005, he founded Crane Clinic Sports Medicine, where he began focusing on regenerative therapies in orthopedics. Three years later, he opened Bluetail Medical Group.
Dr. Crane is board certified in sports medicine and emergency medicine. He teaches regenerative therapeutics throughout the country and to doctors from all over the world.
When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Crane enjoys competing in orienteering and adventure racing. He’s married and has two daughters and one son.

We had a great discussion relating to my issues. He gave me a thorough explanation of why and what could potentially relieve my pain. I appreciated his and the staff’s professionalism. I found my new doctor.
I have been here before after being told I needed a knee replaced. Dr Bays did a stem cell injection in my knee. That was 4 years ago and the knee is fine. At that time he also injected my elbow because I had ‘tennis elbow’. The elbow is fine too Looking forward to seeing what he can do for my Achilles tendon tear and releaving pain in my hip.
I’ve worked with Dr. Bayes for personal reasons and most recently for my son who is a high school athlete. Dr. Bayes has equipment available to best diagnosis any injuries while providing expert guidance towards recovery. I’d highly recommend Dr. Bayes and his team.

I have had great outcome with his skills in performing BMAC and PRP treatments for arthritis in knees in 2022 as an alternative to knee replacements.
