Office staff and medical team members were warm, caring, and professional. Dr. Clarkson listened to my story of my finger injury, and thoroughly explained the What and Why I was experiencing what I was. He also clearly explained mShow morey options going forward, listened to my concerns, answered questions, and respected my decisions. I appreciated his knowledge and expertise, and also appreciated his sense of humor. He has my respect for & confidence in his ability to provide the best care for my issue.
Dr. Clarkson was excellent. He performed a very detailed examination of my hands. X-rays and a sonography were used to flush out the details of the problems I have been experiencing with my hands. Also appreciated being able to sShow moreee all of the images as we went along. I was given clear instructions as to how we would proceed to resolve the issues. Dr. Clarkson is very professional, and I felt reassured. His staff was very pleasant and helpful as well.

Dr.Clarkson is pretty good at what he does and I love his sense of humor he also has a very great staff especially at the front desk they made my day they made me laugh keep up the good work hopefully I may see you again and hopefully not 😂
Dr Clarkston told me exactly what would eventually happen to the lump on the palm of my hand. With this knowledgeI will know exactly to come in an see him agin
Very professional and very personal!
Everyone in your office is very nice and efficient. They all, including Dr. Clarkson, answered all of my questions. I opted for the surgery using the virtual reality goggles rather than anesthesia. And it was wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone else. I was able to drive myself there and back home all by myself.
Would not hesitate to recommend anyone to Dr Clarkson .

Dr. James Clarkson has performed two surgeries for me and I could not have asked for better experiences, each time. From careful diagnostics that welcomed and fully answered my questions to great outcomes with continued support, both direct and referred, and with now much of two painful scenarios ameliorated, I cannot recommend Dr. Clarkson and his practice more highly.

Dr. Clarkson spent a lot of time with me diagnosing and discussing potential treatments. He explained each possible mode of treatment and answered any questions I might have. Very much appreciated.
I went to see Dr. Clarkson because of severe carpal tunnel in both of my hands. He scheduled a bilateral endoscopic carpal tunnel release surgery within a few weeks. He is a very good doctor and has a good bedside manner. He explained exactly what he was going to do during the surgery. He made the incision in the crease of my wrists so the scar will not be seen and will disappear.
Wait time was minimal and staff friendly. Doctor explained my options and made me feel comfortable with my choice.
The staff ladies are so helpful and nice. Dr. Clarkson explained his findings and set me up for Occupational Therapy. I heard from OT right away, so I'm all set!
Dr Clarkson is very knowledgeable and very caring. He explained having surgery vs not having surgery. He explained if I have surgery how long the surgery will be and exactly what he has to do during my surgery.

I’ve received excellent care from Dr. Clarkson previously at Michigan State Health Care and now at his Heritage Hand and Plastic Surgery office. So far steroid shots have been a convenient and surprisingly long lasting solution for my hands. When surgery becomes necessary I will consider my self fortunate that he will use Wide Awake VR. Technology for the procedure and blessed that I am under the care of such a kindhearted man and his staff!
