Dr. Jaquel Patterson, ND, MBA is a nationally recognized naturopathic physician, functional medicine expert, bestselling author, and keynote speaker, widely regarded as one of the leading integrative and functional medicine doctors in the United States. She is the Founder and CEO of Fairfield Family Health, a leading integrative medical clinic, and has more than 16 years of clinical experience treating complex chronic illness using a root-cause, systems biology approach.
Dr. Patterson specializes in Lyme disease and tick-borne infections, integrative psychiatry, ADHD and ADD, PANS/PANDAS, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), autoimmune conditions, environmental medicine, allergies, and hormone health. She is considered a leading expert in complex chronic illness and multi-system disease, with a clinical focus on identifying the underlying causes of inflammation, immune dysfunction, and neurological and psychiatric symptoms.

These experiences led her to author the bestselling book Women and Lyme: An Integrative Guide to Complex Chronic Illness.
Dr. Patterson is a recognized leader in the field of functional and naturopathic medicine. She currently serves as President of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the largest national organization representing licensed naturopathic physicians in the United States, and as Treasurer of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM). Her expertise has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, New York Magazine, CBS, NBC, Fox, and ABC.
Dr. Patterson is a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and completed a fellowship in functional medicine for psychiatry and ADHD. She is an active member of leading professional organizations including ILADS, AANP, IFM, and MAPS, and has served as faculty for Rupa Health, IFM, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and Psychiatry Redefined. She also serves on the Scientific and Medical Advisory Board for Xymogen and Microbiome Laboratories.
She earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine, her Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, and an MBA from Quinnipiac University.
When she is not seeing patients, she loves spending time with her family, walking her dog, traveling, trips to the spa, kicboxing, spinning or taking any intense fitness class, and photography.
