Johanna Roncagliolo-Garcia

Johanna Roncagliolo-Garcia, LCSW-C, is a bilingual and bicultural clinical social worker and licensed clinical therapist. At Bluegrass Mental Health in Columbia, Maryland, Johanna provides culturally responsive mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. 

Johanna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a specialization in mental health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. 

She began her career as a psychotherapist at Good Shepherd Services, where she supported adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral needs in a residential treatment setting. Johanna later worked in an outpatient mental health clinic, providing individual and family therapy to patients of all ages and across various clinical populations. Her experience has equipped her with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, emotional regulation support, and family-centered treatment planning.

Currently, Johanna also serves as a full-time school social worker in a Baltimore City elementary and middle school, where she provides counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing support to students and families. She brings patience, cultural awareness, and a warm relational approach to every therapeutic relationship.
