Joseph Adashek, MD, FACOG, is rated by U.S. News & World Report as being among the top 1% of physicians in the nation practicing in the field of Perinatology. Women in the Henderson and Las Vegas areas of Nevada can take advantage of his services at one of the offices of Desert Perinatal Associates, where he is a co-owner.
An award-winning and widely published physician, Dr. Adashek received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles and his Doctor of Medicine from Penn State College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Northwestern University in Chicago and was awarded a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of California Irvine.
Dr. Adashek has served in many hospital leadership positions and is currently the Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center and Southern Hills Hospital. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and serves as an instructor at Touro University.
Dr. Adashek has been named as a “Top Doctor” for multiple years in a row by numerous publications including U.S. News & World Report, Desert Companion, and Las Vegas Life. In 2015, the Las Vegas HEALS organization awarded him the Inspired Excellence in Healthcare Award, and in 2016 he and his wife Sharon were honored by Planned Parenthood for outstanding work with women.
He works extensively in the community with organizations such as Jalen’s Gift Foundation and Angel Flight West. Dr. Adashek also serves or has served on numerous committees for several local organizations, including the State Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the State Board of Oriental Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Adashek spends time with his wife and daughter and loves playing soccer and racquetball.

Dr.Giacobbe made sure that I fully understood a complex medical situation. Answering all of my questions and leaving space to process. I could have left our last meeting with a lot of fear and uncertainty. But left feeling confident and hopeful because of her attention and care.

I had an amazing experience with the ultrasound tech and really felt at ease with the whole experience. Since the reason for my visit was due to being a riskier pregnancy both the tech and Dr. Giacobbe reassured me and made me feel so much more confident about my current situation. Dr. Adashek is the best OB/GYN I ever had. I was lucky to have my twin boys delivered by him and his care throughout my pregnancy was top notch! He is always so attentive and kind and I felt at ease knowing I am in the care of such an experienced doctor and I can only extend the compliment to his team of nurses. I can highly recommend Desert Perinatal Associates. If you're in a high risk pregnancy, they are the best team for you!

Doctor Adashek is great. I am giving a 2 star review for overall experience with practice and clinic. There is no communication what so ever. My procedure was about 1 hour long and spent 2 hours just waiting. Lack of communication to patients on wait time and no follow up on response when asked if they were running behind. If I knew I was going to wait that long I could’ve left to get something to eat and come right back. This appointment was scheduled 8 weeks in advance and I don’t see why it would have taken all of 1 1/2 hours to be seen and another 1/2 hour for the doctor to come into the room. My blood pressure was definitely going up and the whole point I am being seen for high risk is for high blood pressure. I don’t think I would return to this clinic. I would return to see Dr Adashek at Summerlin.
Very Thorough appointment. Got all the information I needed and more. Helped me feel at ease about growing baby. Enjoyed all the staff. Very polite and knowledgeable. Had a great visit.

Dr. Adashek is a great doctor. But the waiting times are ridiculously long. Be prepared to wait 2 hours for a 5-minute ultrasound!
I am seeing Dr. Adashek for my first pregnancy (Twins, high risk) and I always get the feeling that he and his team genuinely care! I always feel like I'm in good hands, the staff is always very attentive and I like Dr Adasheks straight forward approach. You can tell he's got so much experience! I'm glad to have him as my doctor and it's worth the drive across town.

only waited for a few minutes before being called back. everyone was very nice and even allowed my husband to come back with me with our daughter as well. they dont usually allows kids and my husband has never missed an appointment so i was very happy and grateful they allowed it.(:
