Kate received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. She earned her master’s in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Denton.
As a nurse and nurse practitioner, Kate has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency rooms (ER), intensive care units (ICU), preoperative care (PREOP)/post-anesthesia care units (PACU), and internal medicine.
Kate is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and North Texas Nurse Practitioners. Kate is passionate about empowering patients through open communication and accessibility.
Kate grew up in Plano and now lives in Richardson with her husband, two children, and yellow Lab.

Dr. Kate and Priscilla have always been wonderful. Instead of feeling like an assembly line of a doctors office, they remember you by name and get to know you instead of just asking the usual checkup questions for 5 minutes and sending you on your way. I have never had a doctor who is so down to earth and listens to all your concers all while helping you get to the root of your health issues.

This office is not only run like clockwork but both the provider and the assistant., Priscilla are amazing! Kate is so kind, down to earth, knowledgeable and thorough. She takes time to listen and not just prescribe but really understand how to live your best life. One of the best providers I’ve met. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have been seeing Kate since the start of her practice and have had excellent care each and every visit. She not only listens intently to us, but gives immediate feedback most times, and if there is something she wants to research, she will call back in a very timely manner. Then she remembers to follow up at the next visit, or even give a call before then, if she thinks it's important. She is very approachable and relatable, and has solved several health issues for us, which I think would have been missed or ignored by our previous PCP. She makes us feel like our health and well-being are really important to her. Such a wonderful change from all of my previous doctors. All PCP's should be like her! Also, Priscilla is really pleasant and dependable, and follows up on every phone call and email within a day, and together they make for a great office experience. I've recommended Kamcare to all my friends.

I almost look forward to my check ups now that I get to see Kate. You walk in and it is immediately a different experience. Beautifully decorated, never an over filled waiting area. They offer you drinks/snacks. You have the option to make requests/appointments by texting the wonderful Pricilla. Texts, yay!!! Kate takes her time with you and makes you feel heard. She will do everything she knows how to do to help in any way. It is 5 star, white glove service in every way!!!!
Kate is absolutely wonderful! I had and emergency case of pink eye, not only did she fit me in she and her staff got me taking care of asap. This isn't the first time and probably not the last time. She's Wonderful and I highly recommend her.
