Kate received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. She earned her master’s in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Denton.
As a nurse and nurse practitioner, Kate has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency rooms (ER), intensive care units (ICU), preoperative care (PREOP)/post-anesthesia care units (PACU), and internal medicine.
Kate is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and North Texas Nurse Practitioners. Kate is passionate about empowering patients through open communication and accessibility.
Kate grew up in Plano and now lives in Richardson with her husband, two children, and yellow Lab.

Kate is very anttentive and listens to everything that’s going on with you. She doesn’t just throw medicine at you. She tries to get to the source of what’s going on with you. I really appreciate her dedication and thoroughness. I can’t speak highly enough of her and the practice. Love Priscilla too. She is on top of things as far as getting records, prescription refills, appointments etc. payments, etc.
Kate will make time for her patients to give you time to discuss whatever is going on and to come up with a plan before you leave. The office is always calm and clean.
You both are such a joy to get to know! I feel like we’re on the same team which is a huge deal with a medical provider.

Kate diagnosed me correctly the first day after seeing my lab work from past doctors. Some doctors do the bare minimum, but Kate goes above and beyond. If you don't have her as you primary physician, then you're settling for a mediocre doctor when you could have the best.
I cannot say enough good things about Kate Heyde FNP-C. She truly listens, takes concerns seriously, and is incredibly knowledgeable about hormone issues. I never feel rushed or dismissed, and she explained everything in a way that made sense. Having a female provider who understands how hormones impact daily life has made such a difference. Dr. Heyde is always amazing. She makes me feel genuinely comfortable every time I walk into her office. I never feel rushed, unheard, or judged, just supported. She creates a space where I can be completely honest, and that means everything. And on top of that, her office and her staff are such a vibe.. warm, welcoming, and always so kind. It’s one of the few places where you walk in and immediately feel at ease.
