Kathryn Leitwein, MD, is a double-board certified surgeon on the team of dedicated providers at Naab Road Surgical Group in Indianapolis. She is board certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care.
Dr. Leitwein is an Indiana native who grew up on the westside of Indianapolis. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Leitwein then earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at St. Vincent Indianapolis. She finished her medical training at Ohio State University with a fellowship in surgical critical care.
Dr. Leitwein joined Naab Road Surgical Group in 2020, where she practices general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care. She is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma.
Outside of work, Dr. Leitwein enjoys spending time with her husband, Randy, and their family while cheering for the Hoosiers, and occasionally the Buckeyes.
